Does it really matter (to guys like Gottlieb and *******) whether they are right or wrong? They don't get paid for being right? They get paid for attracting attention so that their employers can sell advertising. Or am I missing the business model of what they do.

If that is the case then wouldn't the best way to hurt these guys would be to totally ignore them? Of course, I'm not sure how much of an impact Shocker Nation can have and I suppose it is more fun to argue with them.

I agree with what you are saying, however on the flip side the words of Edmond Burke come to mind in that 'all that is necessary for the triumph of evil, is that good men do nothing'. Gottlieb must be stopped!

There was a small backfire in Doug's logic last year. He believed that Gonzaga was over rated and that a team, like WSU, could beat them. Then we got LaSalle in the next round…so no credit given, but much to his surprise, we BEAT the Ohio State University ****eyes. We were supposed to lose that game, further perpetuating the myth of the BCS superiority. Now that his plan didn't happen, he is left spinning in an attempt to rewrite history.

The knockout punch by Davis was in rebuttal to Goat Lube's nonsensical comment about our refusal to schedule after a FF run. He said something to the effect of "Are you shitting me? Scheduling in Gregg Marshall's world is a little different than in Bill Self's world" to which Dougie Identity Theft had no reply.

Dougie bases the majority of his hate on WSU this season on the fact that "he watched WSU play St. Louis and they didn't look very good." The fact that he thought Oklahoma State was a Top 5 team and much better than Wichita State disproves that he has any business evaluating any basketball talent in the first place. Not to mention he can't even pick over 50% of his games correctly.

gonzaga was phenomenal, yes, phenomenal, on the boards that day against one of the best rebounding teams, literally, in the country. too bad for them they just got a bad matchup against a hot team (just like wichita state, with one of their best teams ever, got a bad matchup against vcu the year before).

True. Oddly I've never heard him discuss the game in that context. It's always used as proof that either gonzaga was overrated or wsu "got hot and lucky". I guess only BCS teams can be involved great games.
