I wouldn't say they took a hit - they merely lost a game. These people can take it. This is not a big deal. Just imagine all the "I told you so's" when we eventually lose a game. We will have a few on here crying about comments made by others - it doesn't really matter.

I would imagine they are having to deal with losing to Fichigan. This is more on their radar than what 3G happened to say.

I'm about done with this forum board, or so I thought as I'm posting now. The reason is it seems dooms day against the Shox. It seems as WSU is the crappiest team ever to be in the Final Four & a terrible p.o.s. that has won 21 straight games since that appearance.
I thought it was self-loathing fans. Then Villanova passes WSU in the polls. Nevermind that WSU was automatically the 4th team of the Final Four or the lesser ranked of the unbeatens. Every January, whether we want mentioned as receiving votes, or make our case to move up in the polls its the same crap.
By the time post season play rolls around we wonder if WSU can win the KS 4A girls championship. Then, all of a sudden an NIT championship or Final Four appearance happens.
MSU, KU, Villanova or even those teams who are grounded such as Syracuse or Duke. I have no doubt that 10,506 Wichitans, Marshall & his 13 walk-one would welcome any combination of those teams to Koch Arena next November or December. Furthermore, that team would hop on their chartered flight and return the favor the following year.
Screw em all, WSU's accomplishments exceed all but 2 or 3 teams in the NCAA the past two years. Its time to quit feeling slighted. Dont be a jerk, but we've been there. As fans, players, coaches & players, we're there. We nay as well act like we've been there & expect to be there. Any team that comes to WSU plays in front of a packed house, a great atmosphere & plays a pretty good team.
We can be gracious of the compliments & accepting of criticism. But screw those who follow the same process of that journalist that no matter what won't rank WSU higher than 5th. Screw those Wichitans that still buy KU crap that have never set foot on any college campus. I have an idiot in-law like that. Screw the righteous fan base of other teams that think they're automatically anointed & screw that damn president who gets press for picking BcS teams in his bracket. Brackets are unproductive in the workplace. Put yours the hell away & create an American job or three.

Almost be better to be 10th ranked with 2 losses. Gotta be tough on Gregg. He is screwed either way. I noticed earlier this year Gregg ceased in carrying his drink cup in the post game congrad line which has always infuriated opposing coaches. Wasn't nearly as edgy but now, I can hardly blame him. The stupid questions about scheduling better opponents etc would cause me to do a lot worse than Gregg Marshall has done. I don't think there is any pressure on the kids. They know they will take care of business.

Would you rather accept Gregg as he is AND representing WSU or...
Read of Gregg's comments while he's coaching another team?

Gregg's a smart guy and he'll learn from whatever issues might be causing him or the school any harm.
A lot of this limelight has been thrust on him during the past 10 months.
Give the guy a break. I'll take the current issue any day in contrast to being worried about whether Marshall is insulting, hurting, or slighting 'Nova or MSU's feelings.

This a hundred times over. I personally find the hate to be wonderfully gratifying. Especially given our current position. I love being able to respond to the stupid sh!t that flows through my KU friends mouths with a laugh and a "Go f$%k yourself." There's no need to even humor them right now. It's beautiful.
