I've got no problem with GM proudly fighting for the program. But the Rodney Dangerfield and the no respect routine will blow up in our face if we only advance past the first game in March. At minimum, we have to advance to the Sweet 16 in order to keep most naysayers off our back. But '2 and Q' in the tourney, be prepared hear all the I told you so's and laughter.

Some of you will say, I'm still proud of the team and proud of what we accomplished if we do a one and done or 2 and Q. I won't argue that sentiment. But good luck grinning and bearing all of the negative fallout that will come without wanting to break someone's face.

I love Maarshll's attitude, but I think it's time for him to reel it in a bit in interviews. While our players are getting known as humble, our coach is getting known as arrogant and abrasive.
I agree. Running mouth is never a good idea. Just go play.

"our coach is getting known as arrogant and abrasive". Maybe a few thinks this way, but with the media fanning the flames, a mole hill could become a mountain rather quickly. The media thrives on matters like this one.

We will ask the Zags for counsel if that happens.

This will happen regardless. Mark Few is as diplomatic, well-mannered and soft-spoken as they come. Gonzaga still received endless, undeserved grief for their early exit last year.

This and several more just like it. We often talk about how Gregg is the perfect fit as our coach.....so EMBRACE it! Face it, we could get a #1 seed and win it all this year, and we're NEVER going to be given credit from the "so called blue bloods". Just isn't going to happen, anytime, anywhere. So why in the WORLD would Gregg or the program kneel down and kiss the feet of those that will never respect him. Enjoy what we have and how we do it, UNLESS what we're doing is wrong. And there isn't anything I've seen that says this program isn't being run exceptionally clean right now. So why not enjoy the ride?

This does work to the WSU fans advantage - makes WSU more a destination job.

                    ^THIS^
And, let's just say we do well enough the rest of the way and "earn" a number 1 seed. We'll still get blasted by everybody if we win it all all the prognosticators and nay-sayers will point to our seeding and the fact that it meant we really didn't have to face any of the tough "elite" teams in the tourney. Whatever. I love this team, the program and the coach. Go Shox!

Exactly right! Win the NC this year and all we will hear is "one National Championship thats it? Get back to us when you have X or have done X!"

That may be the post of this entire ridiculous thread.

Angry, you just earned yourself a beer for that one.

If you are talking about what HCGM said I doubt if it was "thoughtless".
