Like I said, I understand why you all would want it in KC from a convenience standpoint... I just think it would suck for fans of the program who are outside of the region who could make the trip to STL but not KC....

Around the Scottrade Center, you have Union Station, which is really just a low-rent mall and a tourist trap. You also have a few bars scattered amongst a dead, vacant downtown. If you are lucky, you can witness and undercover cop try to buy drugs off of another undercover cop. You have about a mile walk to the hotels. The hotels are located right next to Lacledes Landing, which is a cool place to go drink, but the restaraunts are hit and miss. Within about a short drive, you have the casinos and strip clubs across the river. Within a slightly longer drive, you have the Hill for good Italian food. I will admit my knowledge of other things in the St. Louis area is lacking, but those are what I have seen or heard about when I have gone to the tournament.
Around the Sprint Center, you have PNL immediately adjacent. Normally, PNL is full of cheesedicks and douchebags, but large events will fill up the bars and restaraunts with their crowd. So, in the case of a Kansas City MVC tournament, it would be a bunch of cheesedicks and douchebags plus 7,000 people wearing yellow. You also have a short walk to several hotels. A slightly longer walk will get you into the River Market for a few more bars and restaraunts, including some Italian joints with just as much history as the Hill. A short drive will get you to Crossroads, a slightly longer drive will get you to Westport and the Plaza. Casinos are a short distance away as well.
From the MVC's perspective, they have to look at WSU's attendance figures for the CBE tournament. Didn't we get around 7,000 people there? And what do we draw to Arch Madness? I think the most ever was 2,500, maybe 3,000? So I believe the increase in WSU fans would far outweigh the decrease in all the other Valley fans not wanting to make the drive.
Featuring a lot of eclectic/trendy dining if you are into that sort of thing. Oh yea, KC BBQ until your eyes pop out..Kansas is Flat. The Earth is Not!!

Sorry that instead of offering a central location that the majority of fans can travel easier to you want to make it difficult for them to cheer on their school!!
Way to represent!!The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

It would be over an 8 hour drive to KC for me as opposed to a 4 hour one, which is the same amount of time it would roughly take you to get to STL if I'm correct... Instead of making it reachable for a larger area of fans, you would prefer to limit it to a few states instead??
In addition, your logic is totally misaligned with the facts. The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

Im curious what our attendance for Arch madness will be considering its a very good possibility that we may end up back there in 2 weeks after. Will some fans sit out arch madness and just go the NCAA tourney?Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

I'm a 1%er, so I will probably go to both. Thank goodness it's only a 7 hr drive. One quick note before we present the rankings: With Wichita State’s move to the American Athletic Conference, the Shockers have moved out of the mid-major club. We wish the Shockers well against Cincinnati, UConn, SMU, and more.

Wouldn't it be ironic if the Valley finally moved the tourney to KC in 2016 only to have WSU leave the Valley after the 2015 season? I don't think there would be enough Drake, UNI or MissSt fans there to keep the place from looking empty. I would have loved to see the tourney in KC for the last 5 years, shoot last 10 years. This potential great move may be a little too late.

A cheesedick aspires to be a douchebag, but has not yet acquired the "Grieco Virus."
Move it to Chicago.Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.

So keeping it closer to fan bases, who don't show up anyways, doesn't make much sense. The Assman
