  • Shocker highlights coming up again on SC. They just did a promo saying after last year's final 4 run this year's unbeaten shockers should come as no shock as well as some highlights from tonight's game running in the background above the heading "remaining unbeatens".

    • Not taking anything away from Wiggins' oop, but I thought the play of the game was FVV's dribbling, driving, jumping, twisting through several opponets and and then coming up underneath them to lay it up left handed was by far more spectacular. ESPN even repeated it four times.

This hour (LA live version of SC) they changed the ticker to "WICHITA STATE STAYS PERFECT". They also moved the WSU highlights up to the first 15 minutes of the broadcast. They included a shot from the roundhouse in the opening shots of the show, did a nice promo on Wichita State being unbeaten shouldn't be shocking after last year's final 4 run (about 8 minutes into the show) and then showed the WSU highlights in the first 15 minutes of the show. Pretty cool stuff!

        • Tonight on ESPN College Basketball Live, the host referred to Andrew Wiggins as "the other Wiggins". Gotta love it.

I might add that that 96 year old lady has not missed a game in years. Regardless of the horrible weather we've had at times. I'm more than willing to bet that some of you youngsters have missed games due to bad weather in the past few years that Mrs. Jackson has attended thanks to her daughter Peggy. Here's a shout out to her as well as Peggy who makes sure she gets to all of these games. Mrs. Jackson loves her Shocker basketball and so does her daughter Peggy who also will do whatever it takes to get her mother to the games. And no, they don't just come from across the street or something. They come from Valley Center. Not terribly far, but farther than some who don't make it when there is deep snow or ice.

                • They just played a highlight from Mike Kennedy on the Omaha talk radio (1110 kfab) station while talking about college hoops scores. I guess we made it big time.

Pretty lame and classless, Omaha. Pick on a walk on. BTW he had a three last night and two rebounds in three minutes.

Or playing in a way that would be difficult to scout in the future.

As much as I would like to see these Valley puds get curb-stomped, I just don't think there's really much in it for us.

They seem to let a lot of stuff go when they game wasn't in doubt.

But, I'd rather not have our All-American PG get hurt because you want the clock to run.

                          • Mrs. Jackson sits in our row and they rarely have missed a game even when her husband was alive. Peggy had a seat in an another area and her and her husband sat in those seats. Her husband was the recipient of an errant tennis ball hit into the crowd after a demo from the WSU tennis team at a half time break. Hit in the eye and drew blood. Also want to mention the awesome treatment they receive from the WSU staff at our entrance. They help Peggy get her down the couple of stairs and retrieve her wheelchair and help her into it.
