I read this book in high school based on SIU basketball. It was really interesting. This guy was the top recruit in the country, basically Andrew Wiggins with no faults. Really weird book, ends up suspended for recruiting violations and gets freaky with his older large cousin. Only reason I read it was because I was hoping to see a WSU reference. Nope. Dude cuts his fingers off to end the book, then rehabs to play ball on a YMCA level. He was a cousins boy I guess.

Playing in a conference with Loyola and SIU is about as fun as seeing home and homes with Grambling State and Howard on the schedule. God, I hope this season's run attracts a conference to white knight us.
This is a lose-lose game tomorrow, like the majority of these next two months are gonna be. Must. Get. Out.
With that said, we really need to bury this team tomorrow. I'm hoping last year will be one of the big motivators. Although on the flip side, just by playing us, SIU has a big motivator.
#8 WSU 73
SIU 51Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

On the season, SIU is 332 out of 702 on all fg attempts. If you subtract their 48 of 167 on threes, you get 284 out of 535 on two pointers which is .530.
On the season, WSU is .516 from 2 point range.

SIU's RPI is approximately 3 times that of the popularity of the Saluki dog breed. The Saluki is the 112th most popular dog breed.
