I read this book in high school based on SIU basketball. It was really interesting. This guy was the top recruit in the country, basically Andrew Wiggins with no faults. Really weird book, ends up suspended for recruiting violations and gets freaky with his older large cousin. Only reason I read it was because I was hoping to see a WSU reference. Nope. Dude cuts his fingers off to end the book, then rehabs to play ball on a YMCA level. He was a cousins boy I guess.

Win or lose, get ready for our RPI to take an epic kick in the nuts tomorrow night.

Playing in a conference with Loyola and SIU is about as fun as seeing home and homes with Grambling State and Howard on the schedule. God, I hope this season's run attracts a conference to white knight us.

No doubt about that. SOS is gonna take an awesome plunge also.

This is a lose-lose game tomorrow, like the majority of these next two months are gonna be. Must. Get. Out.

With that said, we really need to bury this team tomorrow. I'm hoping last year will be one of the big motivators. Although on the flip side, just by playing us, SIU has a big motivator.

It's a perfect time for a number of our reserves to have breakout performances.

On the season, SIU is 332 out of 702 on all fg attempts. If you subtract their 48 of 167 on threes, you get 284 out of 535 on two pointers which is .530.

On the season, WSU is .516 from 2 point range.

Your calculation makes more sense to me.

Here is the entirety of SIU's team stats. Hatter is correct, and off just a thousandth of a percent, as they have them shooting .531

I don't understand why StatSheet would have that 63.1% because you can get 51.7 just by using the per game FG and per game 3-pt made and attempted and apply Hatter's formula. Obviously, I just reproduce what StatSheet provides.

They probably use the same conversion/calculations that KW has used on occasion. :)

SIU's RPI is approximately 3 times that of the popularity of the Saluki dog breed. The Saluki is the 112th most popular dog breed.

I like Barry a lot. I feel really bad for his current situation. But if he ruins our attempt at matching the 14-0 record I am going to tell a lot of short jokes using him as the punch line. Don't make me do it Barry.

I only said TMH's calculation made sense to me because 63.x% is an inordinately high performance level.

I know this is cocky for a team that beat us last year, but could we forfeit our two home games against Loyola and SIU for purposes of league play but not have it count it against us for overall record and rpi and schedule two replacements? I'm willing to give the league a couple of game handicap.
