If KSU scheduled WSU and KSU lost, there would be 10,000 angry famrers in Manhattan - with pitchforks.

There is no point in debating this potential opponent. I doubt the fans of either school would object. I doubt that Marshall would object. I bet everybody in the KSU athletic department would object. From the coaches, to the SID, to Currie. To the team managers.
You are spot on with many things on SN. This I hope is not one of them. I believe it will happen sooner than later.

Scheduling KSU has a much higher likelihood than KU, but I'm not holding my breath. I think KSU's fanbase would take a loss much better than KU's, but Weber still has a lot to lose. When we have 4-5 years of consistent success (btw, we're almost there, I consider this to be year 4), a loss to WSU won't appear to be "bad" to a casual fan/ignorant BCS homer.

I will not be surprised when Weber agrees to the same three game contract that we've floated to Self (Sprint Center, Intrust, and Bramlage with the first game being at Bramlage).

One at Intrust and one at Sprint. I don't think they are at the level to have to do a 2 for 1 basically.

              ?

It takes 2+ hours to get from Manhattan to the Sprint Center. That's pretty darn neutral.

Why on earth would they agree to a game at Intrust and a game at Sprint without us ever setting foot in Manhattan?

The same reason they agreed to a game at Intrust against Gonzaga?

The first game of that series was in Seattle, which is 4 hours from Gonzaga's campus.

Right. And the second game of this series would be in KC, which is 2 hours from KSU's campus.

I'd be very surprised to see GM agree to such a deal that would involve the octagon of gloom but not Koch. Such concessions should only be extended to elite programs. Kitties don't quite qualify as elite.

So we get to play 11 minutes from our campus at Intrust and KSU gets to play 2 hours from theirs in KC. With no third game in Manhattan. That is what you are arguing could happen.

I hope you are an ice cube salesman in Alaska cuz we're gonna need some salesmanship for that one. :D

Most KState fans would have you believe they have a majority share of fans in Wichita, with WSU fans an also-ran behind them and KU. Sometimes it is advantageous to play into the ignorant hands of your adversary. I think Weber knows too much, though.

Exactly...they have enough alumni in KC that it would be a better attended game for their fans than if it was in Bramlage.

No, but we didn't give them two at "home" compared to our one at "home"
