Yep -- players absolutely hate it what that happens, 1972.

    • In the first half I wasn't pulling my hair out because the players were doing stupid stuff. Ok, there was a boneheaded turnover and a couple fouls that shouldn't have been committed. But all and all they were doing the vast majority of things right. But like Bush said, it is the little things that kill.

So they fixed in the second half.

      Good enough for me.

      • Well, it was a good day. I made a pocket full of money, the shocks won, and I got engaged. Beat Tennessee.

Bubba burgers- My favorite cheeseburgers and their onion rings are unbelievable. Every time I'm in Kauai, I have to eat there several times.

              • Darius is starting to play quickly without rushing.
RB did his thing, and as I predicted, didn't score as much tonight, but, to me points is a non factor in determining how well he played
FVV combined with RB give the Shockers what we missed several games last year...Guards who take care of the ball and make good decisions. I got called out a bit for getting all over DWill last year over this issue, but as his time diminished with the emergence of these two and him being slowed by injury...the proof is in the pudding.
                CJ takes another step forward.
Kadeem is still a project on offense and that doesn't bode well for a senior. He will have flashes, but the Shocks need what he brings already.
If the 2 W's are shooting at the north basket during this week, I am sure the rim is no longer round. Get plenty of of shots up this week guys. Study and Shoot.
Cle..a baby step forward on the offensive end. I also didn't feel his defense was that bad on Glover, but Glover just "went off" for a while. That lazy pass at the top is a whole different story and I am glad I am not in film when that clip jerks forward and backward umpteen times with narratives from every coach.

During the game I posted I thought the effort was there most of the first half, but sometimes you just can't buy a bucket. Isn't it great to have our Shocks play hard every stinking night?

Tennessee. It's finally here. Make it so I can smile at the bottle of Jack Daniels my late father in law left me. I will open that after a Shocker victory over the Vols.

                • The fake pass by Fred last night reminded me in the causes and effects to our foes as a really cool similar play from many moons ago by Robert George. Robert would be penetrating for a layup, fake a behind the back pass, leave his defender in confused bewilderment, and finish with the easy 2 points. Mr. George did that several times during his tenure here and he was a joy to watch play.

Shock had a much better day than FSF recently because I was courting this well-off gal, she disengaged my offer, gave me the boot while kicking me to the curb,(I wonder why---tsk, tsk, tsk), and she still has a pocket and fist-full of greenbacks, while all that was hurt for me was my pride. No harm, no foul. Here's the worst part. The Shocks were not even playing that hideous day. MUHAHAHA!!!

                        • As good as Ragland and Armstead were as seniors, I always felt that they neglected to get the ball into the bigs. I feel like VanVleet and Baker do an excellent job of taking care of the ball and getting to the guys in a position to score.

CJ and Darius are starting to use their bodies underneath. Coleby has not, and that's why he isn't getting the PT.

Early looks a lot better when he hits threes in rhythm.

Green played the wing forward position for a short spell, and I thought he looked good doing it. Sample size was a little small.

Wessel and Wiggins have to hit shots.

Cotton is what Neitsche had in mind for his Uberman.

                              • Fred's 2nd half fake to the corner pass while completely embarrassing the defender that fell for it just before he pulled it back and made a wide open layup was one for the archives.

He's 9 games into his sophomore season.
