  • Ron Baker media love and accolades thread

Might as well devote a topic to a specific player as he receives attention from the media and weekly accolades.

    So far this week:

    MVC Player of the Week

NBC's CollegeBasketballTalk National POY Power Rankings (alias Rob Baker)

Dick Vitale's Player of the week

  • #2
Dick Vital giving Baker some love. Apparently he couldn't find a reason at all to give it to Jabari Parker.

Baker is definitely worth all the hype.

So, Dick Vitale says Baker is the national player of the week. How many 5-star guys played some D1 ball last week?

If he keeps it up he's going to get an honorary key to Scott City, Iowa! Go Brown go!

scott city community college high iowa should be proud.

sidenote: marcus armstrong and rob brown made for a great backcourt tandem in wichita state's run to the final four

Don't forget about Anthony. He hit some big shots. I think his first name is Cle.

"Baker was hurt last season and not a major factor at all in the Final Four run."

                      Swing and a miss.

It's a good reminder when these national media types say something stupid, that they're not as knowledgeable as we sometimes give them credit for.

They know a little bit about everything and for the most part, can put on a pretty good front.

Someone should send DG a Scott City Iowa Community High School T-shirt, though...
