Bad timeout right there by IPFW when your down 60-57 with 2.2 seconds left and the other team has 1 FT left you can't call your last timeout now even if he misses you only have time for a 90 foot chuck. Need to save the timeout in case he misses to call it on the rebound and at least get 1.5 seconds and a pass on inbounds...I will never understand coaching sometimes.

And wouldn't you know it I called that one before it happened he missed the FT and they had an 85 foot chuck instead of having a timeout and set up a play out of bounds to get a real shot.

I think they're comfortably in at this point. Look at any of the other bubble resumes, especially towards the cut line and I think BYU's is clearly above those.

I have no problem if they don't drop KU. They still have a very good team with a ****-load of good players. Are they as good without Embiid. Of course not, but there still plenty good. I just hope they allow the young man to recover fully before putting him at undue risk. Not sure what those risks are but look at what Ron missed with a stress fracture in his foot. I would think a stress fracture in the spinal column would be something you want to be even more careful with.

I understand your point, but this is what I've been whining about for sometime now. Seeding KU 2 is seeding them on POTENTIAL or their best game and that's not the same treatment other teams/programs get. Look, I'm not advocating dropping KU to an 8, they're clearly a very good team without Embiid but they aren't playing any games at Allen from here on out and the NCAA has a history of downseeding teams that lose a good player. Teams like WSU are judged on their weaknesses and worst performances, while teams and programs like KU are judged on potential and their best performances. We have to change these prejudices.

I said I think they are in but probably looking at a 10/11 seed range so maybe not so comfortable especially since they can't win any more games while other teams can steal bids or bubble teams can win more games.

I would say KU will be a 4 seed, that loss to West Virginia was big.

A 2 seed with 8 losses? No.............

There has been a 2 seed with 8 losses each of the last 4 years. Nothing new.

Now the whole missing Embiid thing, that adds a wrinkle for sure, but 8 losses in and of itself isn't crazy for a 2 seed with one of the toughest SOS in recent history.

I mentioned before that I think an 8 loss KU that wins the Big 12 Tourney without Embiid will remain a 2 seed. Anything less and I think they drop to atleast a 3. Lose in the quarters to OSU and I think they are a 4.

On a side note, Fever, do you really think Embiid is KU's MVP? I don't, and I don't even think it is close.
