I think these guys bait you and you bite every time.
The funny thing is that I didn't use numbers whatsoever in either of my first 2 posts on this topic. It didn't matter though. The complainers still complained.

As for "bait", I have a blast reading the attempts to defend crazy statements. I'm having a good time.

Oh, and Go Utah. Final minute of OT, down 2 but have the ball.

    • Brutal pass to a wide open player might have just cost Utah the game.

      • It seems like a lot of the top teams have been playing more OT games recently.

I still find it hilarious that there are Shocker fans so caught up in hatred toward the media, BCS teams, or even me that they would argue with my statement that Texas Tech is a far better team.
Who the **** is saying that Loyola is better than Texas Tech? And even so, who the eff cares? That wasn't the point of the freaking post.

          God, you're so ****** annoying.

Weren't you supposed to be in bed about 3 hours ago?

              Screw the Valley.

That sounds like an epic National Championship game to me.

              • Arizona with an incredibly gritty win against a very elite Utah team.

                  • We are getting into the Dog Days of Febuary. Long season, tiered legs and frazzeled minds. Syracuse had been on the rope over the last 3 games, Ku loses to K-State and barely beats Texas Tech.Your seeing mediocre teams beating or barely losing to the better teams. And above it all, are the Shockers...the last unbeaten team in America. Wrap your head around that one!

                      #88 Washington (14-13) @ neutral

Forget 2nd place in the Valley, even with the Syracuse win, BC has fewer top 200 RPI wins than either Evansville or Loyola, the bottom 2 teams in the Valley.
However, TMH, that doesn't show the other side of the coin. BC's worst losses are to Auburn #147 and Georgia Tech #149. Loyola has 11 losses to 200+ RPI teams. Evansville is a better comparison, but does have 2 losses to 200+ RPI. Evansville's best wins are Mercer #68 and Ill St #126 which BC's is now #7 Syracuse and #88 Washington. BC's OOC SOS is at #25 and overall is #12. Don't believe many Valley teams SOS compare to that.

In no way do I think BC would be competing for the #2 spot in the Valley, but given the log jam from 3rd place on down, they might be in the mix for middle of the pack.

Auburn, no. Utah, as well as any other Valley team outside of IN St.

I don't know how to put this, but outside of Wichita State, the Valley is just brutal to watch. And I've watched as much Valley ball as I can pick up on tv. Wichita State is very deserving of a number national 2 ranking, but after that, I have a hard time defending Indiana State. I guess Indiana State is a decent team, but nothing to get too excitied about. I guess my point is, BC probably wouldn't be a number two, the fair to pretty good Sycamores would wrap up second, but I don't see much in any of the other eight to keep me from believing Boston College wouldn't be a lock for third in the Valley. Any pundit would be wrong by saying BC would be second, but that wouldn't be off by much.

I hope the Valley is better next year.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

There are 350 teams that would battle for second in the Valley.

                            We just clinched the trophy.

Enjoy the fictional battle-royale for second, every other team in America.

Even in that scenario, "not off by much" is off by 4 games. That's a lot.

                              • Seriously. 'Syracuse's loss to BC was the WORST loss by the AP #1 in history (at least record wise). Yet BC could compete in the Valley???
