SIU is wiping the floor with Drake in Des Moines. Any feelings of overachieving by the Bulldogs have pretty much been destroyed.

Texas has a very, very small effect on our RPI. I know we share 2 common opponents with them, but when you take into account that we play Valley teams twice, any team on their schedule has a bigger "weight" than Texas. Then you look at the teams on our schedule; they play conference opponents twice, so those conference opponents have a bigger weight than Texas. It all turns into a jumbled mess so basically EVERY game contributes to our RPI, even if it's only a very small amount.Originally posted by WuDrWu View Post
If you go to http://www.rpiforecast.com/teams/Wichita%20St..html and click "Fut Wgt" it sorts teams by their effect on our RPI. As you can see, Texas is insignifcant. Their effect on our RPI is the same amount that every Big East team has. Duke has a bigger effect on our RPI than Texas, just as an example of a team that you wouldn't necessarily associate our RPI with.Comment
