    After a three-month investigation into allegations of physical and verbal abuse, Gregg Marshall has resigned from the Wichita State University men's basketball program with a severance of $7.75M. With only a week before the start of the season, the Shockers look to Isaac Brown as the interim leader of the program.

            • Episode 2 of Talk Angry was recorded just prior to the announcement that Wichita State will not be participating in the Crossover Classic but the guys still have a great breakdown of the Shocker roster and new assistant coach Billy Kennedy.

                After the Wichita State men's basketball team had to withdraw from the Crossover Classic due to positive COVID tests, we finally got to see the Shockers (albeit shorthanded) in action as they beat Oral Roberts and fell to Mizzou last week in Koch Arena. The competition continues to be stiff as the team will now face Oklahoma State on Saturday, but the good news is that they should be able to return many of the players that were being held out.

                  After a last-second loss to Oklahoma State, the Shockers find themselves in the unusual position of a being frustrated about coming up short while also feeling better about the way they are competing against top flight talent. Now with conference play beginning after an abbreviated start to the season Wichita State must begin to find wins. This week Dustin and Taylor are joined by Shane Dennis, co-host of Sports Daily on KFH and broadcaster for Shocker television broadcasts.

                    Wichita State gets back to its winning ways with a key road victory against Tulsa to start AAC play and then a tune-up against Emporia State. Now the Shockers head back out on the road for another big test against a team also picked to be in the middle of the pack in conference play: South Florida. Dustin and Taylor dive into the week that was and the challenge ahead from a very good rebounding team.

                      Just as we were getting into the swing of conference play with a big OT win against South Florida, COVID-19 strikes again. This time, East Carolina has several cases hit their program and the game Wednesday has been postponed and will be replaced with a game against Newman University. Bob Hull joins Dustin and Taylor this week to break down the progress of the Shockers this season and what lies ahead for this team as they continue to improve.

                          We are now in the heart of the season. As long as the American Athletic Conference can keep COVID at bay, the games are coming fast and furious. Dustin and Taylor look back at the split that Wichita State had this past weekend against Houston and Cincinnati while looking ahead to key matchups against Tulsa and SMU. If the Shockers are going to make their case as a contender for the conference title, this is a good week to do it. This week Mike Kennedy, the Voice of the Shockers, joins the crew to discuss what he is seeing from this squad after 10 games.
