Shocks vs SLU Pre-game Thread

I would really like for us to press St Louis, if they are going to try and slow the game down, it may force them to hurry up. It appears that they play about 7 guys, so hopefully this game goes the way of all of our other games. Ugly early on, then in the 2nd half, wear them down and bury them.

As long as we don't start off shooting from the arctic, we should be just fine.

We spotted BYU a 13 point lead and still managed to keep them at arms length, once we moved from the freezer to the refrigerator to shoot.

So I'm driving around this morning, running errands. I'm wearing my bright yellow Angry Wu long sleeve with the big "MTXE" right above it. I'd usually be wearing Final Four or Sweet Sixteen gear but I'm behind on laundry... and anyway, it's gotten to the point where I enjoy the confused stares down here. Or even better yet, some recognition or a question that allows me to spread the gospel of Shocker Nation by explaining what Wu and MTXE are.

That was the first coincidence.

The second coincidence was that I had planned all morning on heading into the office to get a couple of things done. At the last second I saw a business that I'd been meaning to check out and decided that I didn't have anything at work except a cure for boredom... so I pulled into the parking lot.

That was the second coincidence.

I did a double take when I saw someone I recognized but hadn't seen in a while.

That was the third coincidence.

I pulled my truck up next to his and rolled down the passenger side window, and he rolled down his window with a slightly confused look on his face.

I turn to face him, point toward my shirt and say "Born and raised, family has had season tickets since the 70s".

He breaks into a big smile, shoots his fist in the air, and says "Keep it rollin' brother!"

His name was Antoine, and I watched him drop 47 on the Salukis in the Roundhouse as a kid.

True story. Still have a hop in my step, in fact.
