Any time our beloved Shocks only have 6 turnovers, I like to the max. our chances of winning. 3G just called us a 1st half team tonight. He liked how Wiggins penetrated and we also like his 3 rebounds. Kadeem needs to get his excessive fouling corrected. Chadrack came on strong tonight. Our bigs will get there and when they do, watch out!!! BYU plays faster than any team 3G has ever faced he just mentioned. This will be a different type of team to play to add to our valued team improvement.

There was a stretch there in the first half where we played with a heck of a lot of speed as well.

One of the things that I am most excited about is the leadership exhibited by Baker and Fred. Those guys are winners. Period.

BYU shot lights out from the three but they were rarely guarded.

83.3% from 3pt range. It was tough to guard them. They have a very quick release on their shot. They WON'T hit 80% against the Shox, but I can see them hitting 50%. They are that good at it...

Probably our most complete game outside of rebounding. Any game where Simon gets 5 points is a good game.

As coach said this team (DePaul) was huge and athletic. We did a good job of team rebounding. Our bigs battled all night and more than held there own against the bigger DePaul players. No DePaul player had more than 6 rebounds. CJ had 6, Cleanthony 7, and Tekele 7.

To be only outrebounded by 1 (34-35) is not great area of concern. As long as we can hold our own against teams of this size and athleticism, we we more than likely hold the advantage with our guards..

I didn't realize how few 3's we made and took tonight. We actually shot a good percentage for us (3 of 8). That's nice to see we have so many slashers, drivers, and scorers and don't need to rely on the 3 all the time. It's a pleasant takeaway tonight for me. We attacked the rim. We looked good doing it. We have the players to do it.

That's not to say that we don't have some dynamite outside shooters as well, but this just shows we can be more than just a perimeter threat.

I can't ever remember a Shocker team attacking the rim with so many players. Certainly we have had games where Malcolm, or Joe Ragland attacked like that, but not with 4 guys (Ron, Fred, Tekele, Nick) doing it with such authority..

One of the things that has really stood out to me about the last couple of season in particular is when WSU is pressed, we are beating it (sans L'ville). Not just beating it up the floor, but dunking consistently...getting and 1's consistently. That is a really good feeling, knowing that if you get your opponent to the point where they have to press - and it's not something they work on consistently like Louisville did - that we will make them pay.

Depaul

thought we played a great first half, we took the blue deamons best shot, stood firm and made a great run. our guards controled the game, pushed the ball and really took over the game. Not too many guard combinations any better than Fred, Ron and Tekele in the country... our Bigs are getting better..we looked top 10 tonight, byu will be a real test..but i think we will be glad to run and our d will be the difference
