  • Okay, UNO would beat several Valley teams this year. I don't know a damn thing about them, other than they are 2-2, but their losses are respectable, on the road, and to what are supposed to be quality teams. I may just have to walk down to the Ralston Arena and catch a game. It's literally only two or three minutes on foot.
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

    • I'd have to stop at the Legion Hall for a couple of cold beers, so it might take me 15 minutes to get there.

The Rebels are really struggling early this season. They got boat raced at home by some UC school.

The Gauchos are awesome. They are 3-0 and home of the Thunderdome! You are dissing the Gauchos just like power conferences diss on Wichita State. Sure, it's not the Octagon of Doom, but it's the freaking Thunderdome! They made a movie about the Thunderdome!

            Don't sleep on the Gauchos!

            • Marquette is losing 48-28 at home against #10 Ohio State w/4 minutes left. That is quite the crappy effort.

We might not move up in the polls on Monday because teams ahead of us are not losing, but man, Marquette might fall completely out of the rankings. Scoring < 40 at home with the new rules is serious futility on offense.

That sounds like a first half blowout, not a near final.

                • DePaul hanging tough with preseason Horizon favorite Wright State, trailing 52-50 w/13 minutes to go.

Loyola up 24-15 on the road against Tulane w/3 minutes left in the half.

Our SoS needs all the help it can get this year with the MVC being down and the CBE again doing us no favors. Come on Ramblers and Blue Demons.

                    Loyola leading 31-19 at halftime.

UNI @ George Mason getting ready to tip.

I have seen a little of DePaul. They have a big guy (Hamilton I believe) that I thought could cause us some problems possibly. They seemed slightly improved, but not a ton.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

                        • Well Loyola has managed to throw away another big lead and are now tied with Tulane at 55 all with 2 minutes left. I think you know how it's gonna end up.
                          Deuces Valley.
                          ... No really, deuces.

Dude, settle down. Elgin said Loyola is gonna be a decent team in 15 years. They have 14 more years to get it figured out.... :/
Marge: The plant called and said that if you don't come in tomorrow, don't bother coming in Monday.
                                Homer: WOOHOO! Four day weekend.
