Okay, so they kept them under 30. Man, it's good to be back to the basketball season!

My favorite stat of the game is only 8 TOs (2 of those came in the last minute and a half.)

Well, so much for the 2 1/2 to 3 hour game. This one lasted just under 2 hours. I'm not saying future games won't be longer, but this one wasn't. It was a little longer than games last year, which I think probably lasted around 10-15 minutes less.

Left a little early because the wife was really washed out. Pin if you need the tickets for the WKU game let me tell you they are great seats. The energy was really good in the first half so I don't know how it was in the 2nd half. I thought our guys played very well in light of the number of fouls called against kwho and kwaste. Liked the way the whole team played and are we deep. Fred looked so good and now we know who will spell Fred at the point. An exhibition game but from what I saw it was a good place to start. Looking forward to the next one. Go Shocks

The new rules didn't really effect us at all. The Valley is going to be in for a beating.

Kadeem can finish and that why he will get more time than CJ.
I thought our guys did a great job on defense. Despite a few more fouls, which were expected, the guys did a great job adjusting.
Fred, Ron and Tekele. Is that enough or do we not redshirt Rian?
Cle didn't force and that was good. Cle got some of those silly fouls he needs to stay away from.
Darius is going to be a factor.
Shaq has talent. Shaq didn't bust it every minute. I'm sure the coaches will get his attention. Another red shirt?
Evan looked like Evan. Derail looked stiff and unsure.
I know the opponent was NAIA but I walked away with the opionion that we are going to be very good this year.

Live out of town and had a commitment tonight so I wasn't able to listen to the game. Who ran the point tonight and how did they do?

What I learned tonight:

Rian is smooooth.
Shaq is wide.
FVV is a colonel.
Wiggins can glide.
Lufile is Dr. Jeckel.
Kadeem is Mr. Hyde.

CJ didn't have a good game. Mostly Baker backing up Fred with a dose of Cotton and Holland. They all looked good.

CJ was late hedging opposing guards and got called with some fouls because of it. He also gave up some easy baskets because he was late getting back to his man after pick and rolls. Of course we're only talking about 4 plays total. It's hard to find a lot to criticize defensively when the other team scores 29.

By the way, Fred gave a great post game interview on the radio. I love it when our guys present like that. Just that much more to be proud of.
