Interviewer ws trying to get Baker to do some chest-thumping and some bragging. Baker declined, so redBirds hate on him for not doing that?

I'm not buying this "we're creating a rivalry" crap. They hate Marshall. Jans used to be one of theirs. There's a lot of hatred for the Shox coming out of the RedBirds camp.

I haven't seen that level of hate from Shox fans for RedBird nation, even though, from our perspective, we have more reason for that than they do. For them, they want to make it a rivalry. Please do. Get a team that's good enough to give us a consitent fight - not just beat us from time to time if we overlook them.

From ShockerNation, it's not even close to approaching a rivalry in the forseeable future. We don't like them, but that doesn't make a rivalry.

There are a decent number of reasonable RedBird fans - even on the various message board. They are outnumbered and outshouted by the others.

Hate to say it and will get blasted for saying it. However, a few years ago this is how Creighton sounded when they were saying WSU wasn't a rival. The whole, they need to beat us...we have a huge winning streak at home...they should try beating us more often before considering it a rival...thing. Along with the "We don't like them but that doesn't make it a rivalry" thing.

To me despising a team or program and wanting to see them lose at all cost IS a form of a rivalry. It's not the traditional kind of rivalry where it's a team that is constantly battling you for the top of the conference. However, it is still a rivalry of sorts. JMHO

Let's not be like Creighton fan!

An example along the lines of shockerfan is Ku-Kstate which definitely have a rivalry, just a very unbalanced one.

For me in-state rivals are always different and you can't compare them (though the disparity is similar). I kinda have a love/hate relationship with VCU. I wish we could duke it out with them annually.

VCU is a team I could really hate if we played them every year. Since we don't, i have absolute respect for them.

LOL. The Raider organization is known for playing dirty and sucktidue for the last decade. Last time they did anything it was with a Chief QB.

I'll never forget that Superbowl. I met a pretty young lady the Thursday before. We went to a party Friday night, dancing on Saturday and a Superbowl party on Sunday. We got married two years later. She was a Jayhawk fan at the time. Last night she tweeted, "Suck it Beakers!"

That likely explains the suspension. Have to give Muller some credit for not just letting him play out the semester.

Ironically, not playing for the Redbirds this spring might be the smartest thing he's done.
