I think the last 3-4 years we have been worried at the pg but Marshall has gotten each player ready for the season and each month there is a steady progress. I don't see why this would stop as long as Marshall's here. Also, I think shocktalk is right about carter, I think he'll get plenty of minutes without starting. 2 years ago hall asked to come of the bench over starting it worked out real well. D1 from jucco is a big leap that takes time to get comfortable with.
And as far as if early plays the 4 or 3 or who gets minutes where, Marshall will have plenty of opportunities to play big or small. If I recall correctly, I think early played some 5 against lasalle. Marshall has a roster that he can adjust for any situation. That what I'm thrilled with! Some of our mvc competition don't have big men or aren't deep so I think we will be fine in conference games and by the time post season comes around, carter and Morris will be good to go!I just want to stand on land...
@rjl:
If I had a gun with two bullets and was in a room with Hitler, Bin Laden, and a Creighton fan, I think I'd shoot the Creighton fan twice.

Gee, I wonder if an Arab Sheik has the same problem worrying about the number of minutes he can devote to servicing each remarkable lady in his harem as GM is going to have to face worrying about the number of playing minues each one of this year's remarkable group of players he has recruited will get?
Gads, what truly despicable situations to be in!Last edited by 60Shock; July 17, 2013, 08:10 PM.

We will be an improved shooting team. We have maybe the best depth here ever. Remember how FVV would enter huge games and play the point and Armstead would play the 2 if in the game? Between that key experience FVV had in prime time last Season, and watching him this summer, FVV will be EPIC for us. We have so many solid players that 3G could sub in with blindfolds on and we would still win our fair share of games.
Here is a concern. I watched Wiggy play so very, very, very good on both sides of the floor in a scrimmage recently that I was perplexed as I also witnessed Wessel, Green, and Cotton play solid in other games and they all play the 3? yikes!!! Nice issues to have. Cotton and Baker can fill in at the point and play the 1 and 2 together when FVV needs a blow as Bowles eases into our System and also starts getting some minutes. In due time, Carter may earn his way into a starting role in which Cle could slide down to the 3 and Coleby play the 5. Now what about that tall front line? As the ole rock jam proclaimed---"Don't worry baybay, be happy" These concerns are the gigs that 3G eats for breakfast and just keeps improving our Program, year after year. I like it. I like it alot!!!!!!!Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Don't forget that Morris was the MVP of the TX/OK HS All-Stars game when he was at 280.
We tend to get excited about recruits who are top-20 in TX. There were no players out of TX who participated in the TX/OK All-Stars game who were better than Shaq - at 280.
I expect Shaq will need to play at a weight below 280. There is evidence that even at 280, he's the best player in both OK and TX.
We thought Jai Lewis was too heavy to be a serious challenger to our great team in 2006.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
