Current video screens are 7.5' by 10' according to a 2003 article about the Roundhouse Renaissance.

Did you see the news about CBS and Shocker Sports Properties? You can now expect to hear sponsorships for dunks (Dunkin Donuts), fouls (KFC), and traveling calls (Travelocity). The national anthem will be courtesy of the National Guard and we'll get to hear the Trojan Condoms "one minute left in regulation" sponsorship (maybe that would be better suited for "three seconds in the lane" or "backcourt violation". Your seat will probably have a sponsor decal on the back of it.

Not that any of that is a bad thing. Ok, some of it is. Eh, who am I kidding, all of it is.

If I were an advertiser, I would want to sponsor fouls committed by the opposing teams. Most nights you could get mentioned a minimum 15 times if not more. The crowd would be a little quieter than when we hit a three pointer, so more people would here it.

I can close my eyes are hear Don Hall now. "That karate kick foul by number 23 Jackie Carmichael is sponsored by Pete's bail Bonds, because in life, you may not have a 5th foul to give."

While the screen is bigger, the score will now have to be used on part of the screen, much like at IBA, so while the score is up, the video feed will shrink a bit again, probably to the size it currently is. However, the board itself will be HD quality, which will be a nice improvement over the current board.

The new scoreboard at Tulsa is pretty sick, kinda like a scaled down version of the one at Cowboys Stadium. I honestly was hoping this is where we would go. But at least were getting something up to date.

IMHO, I don't think the Tulsa setup really works for a round arena, where 4 equal sized screens make more sense.
