Didn't we look at Geron Johnson?

I think I'm at risk of spraining something if I try to find matches for Stan Stamenkovic, Slobo Ilijevski, and Zoltan Toth.
Chapman couldn't play D. Cotton more like that guy who started as a defender & moved to forward, where he was an all star. Name escapes me, kinda thinking Irvine. I really love soccer, especially indoor.

If EO will get on the turf, I'd bet he's be a good Gk & play on a team or two that would try him.

The Wings had a cherry picker that makes everyone listed, including Chapman, look like Franz Beckenbauer. I'll let you keep wracking your brains, but NOBODY cherry picked like him, and it wasn't even close. If this guy crossed the offensive red line for defense more than 3 times in his career then Carl Hall really IS 6' 8" without the hair. I'm just sayin'.

Damn you @Kung Wu:! I'm still trying to remember if it was Don Ebert, Steve Pecher or Greg Villa that had a beer dumped on him in the penalty box during the classic OT playoff game and who Steve Zungel was arguing with when he was trying to decide whether or not to go to Carlos and Wongs after the game.

Hilarious ... this thread made me go out and hit YouTube and this video pops up. The Steve Pecher incident -- by COMPLETE coincidence -- is at the very beginning. And then 4 seconds later in the very next sequence, at the 18 second mark, Jeff Bourne can be seen practically standing on the goal line and then coming out 6 feet to score from just out of the goal box. CHERRY PICK!

                      Ok back to Cleanthony.

If he does, the production will almost certainly follow. As for the other guy, I remember that Steve Kerr had a long career as essentially just a deadeye shooter and, by being on the right teams at the right time -- and making his own unique contribution -- came away with a handful of championship rings.
i'd like to see him get his handles together, too. but i'm sure marshall instructed him on that in the individual post-season meetings. i believe we will see a much improved early next year (very much like ragland and hall, two jucos', before him). that's just how marshall gets it done.

Jeff Bourne? I remember David Bourne.

I also remember Mike Dowler looking for matches to burn one of his jerseys after giving up 8 goals. He was such a primadonna, but he was good enough to get away with it.

I also remember some opposing player holding the door to the south tunnel closed. I think someone on here has talked about that.

My favorite memory was when the Russian National Team came to town to play. Got to spend a couple days with them. They were a funny group, even if they only spoke broken english.

I don't remember a David Bourne playing for the Wings. Guessing you might be thinking of David Byrne?

Mike Dowler and I built a model rocket and didn't have a flipping clue how they worked, but we launched the first one without a glitch. Then the next shot we didn't have any wadding. We weren't sure what it was for so we just wadded up the instructions and stuffed 'em between the rocket and the parachute. That sucker lit up like the Challenger and came down as a fireball near Maple nearly setting the field next to Benton Elementary on fire. We ran over and stomped the hell out of it and hightailed it out of there laughing our asses off.

Tino Lettieri. I think he held the door so that Al Green (the trainer) couldn't get in. LMAO
