Chico Borja was a great midfielder. Chico Moreira was one of the best and smartest defenders in the league.

At the final four, my seats were about six seats from Doug's. It was really awesome to see people bump into him and crawl over him to get to their seats without having any idea who he was. I was still unhappy that we lost 2 of 3 to them this year and I wanted to go over to him and say "the Wichita state players didn't have to pay for their seats" but I restrained myself.

He is a very good college basketball player with a very old man's game. I still draft Cle though if it's up to me.

I hate Dougie as well just based on him playing for Creighton, but I also fully admit I don't have any other reason to dislike him other than jealousy. I don't remember anything he's ever done to make me dislike him other than playing well. Now that we won't have to play him again, and I have no reason to consider Creighton a rival, I wish him the best.

And I don't think you needed to say anything to him, anyway. He knew what sitting there meant.

He was a great person off the field. Me, Chico, Mike Fox and Dale Irvine played much golf when we could. Great times in the late '80's.

People saying things like that is likely what ends up with guys like Kabongo leaving college early and then not being drafted.

Very glad Early is smarter than that.
