  • Gonzaga was the #1 team in the country. It isn't an insult to WSU to call that win an upset.

I think that would classify those wins as MAJOR upsets....:adoration:

I'd say #2 and #4 are most applicable, especially as related to the guys from the Northwest who had barely ever heard of WSU or the players.

      • In the final analysis, it matters not a horse's behind whether it was an upset, a major upset, or a fuke or whatever anyone wants to call it. We beat two very, very good teams in Gonzaga and Ohio State on the road to the Final Four and gave the eventual National Champion more than they ever feared.

Now let's continue returning consistently to the NCAA tournament and let the BB world know that we belong there and mean to be there every year.

And the Shockers proved they deserved to be on the floor with Louisville.

In the wouda, couda, shouda department against Louisville:
          Shocker point guards - 1/14
Up fake fouls - 3 which resulted into 8 points.

          • The camp this year has seen record numbers. I'm not sure where this money goes but there is undoubtedly a lot of money being made here too. In all the years my kids have been coming they've never had to use the Heskett Center and Fairmont Towers for courts. It's good to see this growing.

Now if we could only get them to sell them at the Wichita Airport or on the Turnpike near Wichita.

                  This.

I was told they had 280 kids participate in this week's camp. That is a lot more than normal.

I've heard the total number of campers throughout the summer has come close to tripling previous numbers, with still time to book more kids for the later camps.

It's good to be the king.

It is interesting to see the impact. The following article from the KC Star talks about UMKC's struggles to get noticed in their own hometown going up against KU, KState and MU and notes the difficulty in finding UMKC apparel.

You can also go to the store’s website for gear with 11 choices. There are 1,965 for Kansas, 1,311 for Kansas State and 1,270 for Missouri.

                              • I actually would have guessed more. The great part of it being larger was that it seemed like almost every player was involved this year and it was well run despite so many more kids.
