  • KU, Michigan State, and Syracuse will lose plenty more games.

Syracuse finishes @ Duke, @ Maryland, @ Virginia, vs. Georgia Tech, @ Florida State. They also have an upcoming road swing @ Miami and @ WF that could trip them up.

MSU still has to play @ Iowa, @ Wisconsin, @ Michigan, and @ Ohio State. And they will probably drop one in the Breslin Center at some point too (maybe Saturday against Michigan).

KU still has @ Texas, @ Baylor, @ KSU, and @ OSU.

Arizona is probably the only team you can etch in stone as a 1 seed right now. Their OOC schedule is beyond reproach with wins @ Michigan and @ SDSU, along with a neutral court win against Duke. Their conference is filled with a ton of good-not-great bubble teams this year. If they don't lose @ Stanford, @ Cal, or @ Oregon, they might not lose at all (hard to see CU taking them down sans Dinwiddie).

Patience. We are in a great spot that will only improve if we keep winning.

As the story mentions, the Spartans have been pretty banged up this season. They are a team that will be very, very dangerous in March if they get fully healthy, especially since the injuries may cost them a #1 seed, but not a protected seed.

He broke it when he slammed his fist into a table out of frustration during a film session. Wow.

Are you kidding me? Do you know how much money KU would lose by not playing in the tournament?!?! Self may have an ego, but there is no way he would let it get in the way of something so important to his team. You are crazy!!

Just kidding! ;-) Admit it, for a second you thought I was being serious!

He's taking creative license with the entire bracket. It's about page clicks at this point, not credibility.

Problem is that most of the other teams will have more losses as well.

Based on rpiforecast.com projections of number of regular season losses, here is the Overall RPI Rank:

                Wichita St - 1 loss - #7 RPI
                Arizona -- 2 losses - #1 RPI
                Syracuse -4 losses - #10 RPI
                Mich. St -- 5 losses - #3 RPI
                Villanova - 5 losses - #6 RPI
                Florida --- 6 losses - #8 RPI
                Kansas -- 7 losses - #2 RPI
                Wisconsin - 7 losses - #4 RPI
                Duke ------7 losses - #5 RPI
                Kentucky - 7 losses - #9 RPI

I realize the committee doesn't just go by RPI, but having 3 of the 4 teams with 7 losses higher to several spots higher than WSU with 1 loss could catch attention. Fortunately, the polls will have a little baring on seeding as well. It would be kind of hard not to have the #1 or #2 poll ranked team as a number seed.

As someone else mentioned, Arizona is the only "sure thing" if these loss projections happen. Of course, not all these teams will lose as many as projected either. That will make it tougher.

If WSU goes undefeated given the other above losses, they would still be no higher than 3rd in RPI. 2 losses and we are headed for no better than a 3 seed, IMHO. The Valley is simply an RPI killer this year.

Too many Valley teams outside of the top-200. Indiana State, Illinois State, MSU, and even UNI aren't total killers at the top - It's the bottom five you have to worry about. From an RPI standpoint, it might be more beneficial to cancel games against those teams, as even 30-point wins would lower our SOS. Striking that 7-loss teams KU, Duke, and Wisconson would outrank us with one loss... Go BYU, SLU, etc, etc...

Don't you think you have gone over the line here? I mean an analytical personality showing his ornery and humorous side. What's next with you? Are you going to unleash all hell on opposing fan bases, calling them out because you can? Wait...I see what you're doing. You are in the infant stages of what we call Fan Board Personality Acquisition (FBPA). You are attempting to slowly change your fan board personality to something opposite of what is in your natural DNA. The key to this strategy is to have a targeted alter personality in mind. After careful analysis on my part, I conclude that target is Fever. Your attempt to break him down using your God-given personality style has been unsuccessful. But by using the FBPA method is a direct attempt by you to distract Fever and create a clone-like alter ego similar to him. Fever would then, in essence, be arguing with himself, thus completing your intended plan of transforming him into a schizophrenic mess.

It's just an observational theory of mine. Gotta go now, SyFy is about to start their Twilight Zone marathon. Gotta love that Rod Serling guy.

                            And the survey says...SHOXMVC???

                            What the...

                            Let me submit that again...SHOXMVC???

The supporting data says SHOXMVC appears to be in need of your supreme confidence that the Shockers can overcome any negative issues (weak schedule, weak conference, mid-major, etc...) that may come up by the national media outlets pertaining to an undefeated season entering the NCAA Tourny. "The SHOX can handle the pressure." Also, SHOXMVC could use some help navigating his thoughts in regard to his belief that EO is the most over-hyped player in the programs history.

I pity you Pogo for having to enter the FBPA program. But in retrospect, this plate is nothing compared to the plate you dish up every day my brother. Keep up the good fight.
