3 of us are going. CKA is pretty much my favorite place in Wichita, and any excuse to go thank this Shocker team is good enough for me.

Now, unfortunately, KWCH announced they are covering the celebration live on Cable Channel 5. I plan on being there in person along with two others. Wish all season ticket holders would be there as well as students not in class. That would definitely fill the place.

But I have a parental duty that may force me to miss tonight. I dont want to but unfortunately the call of being a parent and guiding your child down the right path kind of trumps all you know..

Unfortunately, I won't be able to make it. However, at precisely 6:30pm - I will go out on my front porch (which faces the west) and cheer wildly for a few minutes. My reputation in the neighborhood, of being a crazed Shocker fan, will only be solidified.

Then I will park my tail in front of the television and watch a replay of the Shox beating the Zags.


That being said - I hope the place is packed. These guys deserve everything we can do to support them.

Does anyone know if any of next years recruits will be in attendance this evening (is Carter still in town)? I would think this would be just the kind of event to get the new kids fired up for next season....... I know it does me!
