Alabama released their schedule. It looks like the game has been moved to the 17th and will be on ESPNU.
Charleston Southern also released their schedule and WSU is not on it, which makes sense because Paul Suellentrop's update has North Carolina Central on there. So far four non-conference games on ESPN2/U and a fifth on ESPNU.

No way that Saint Louis game isn't on an ESPN channel. None. And the one with Davidson SHOULD be, although it depends on who else is playing.
I'd say more than half of our nonconference schedule will be aired nationally. That's awesome.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

Like I said when this was announced we had less than a 20% chance of this happening and that was probably even higher than the actual odds. Hell, if we did get the game in Dallas we would be on cloud nine about our schedule. Even without the Dallas game we have a very solid non-con schedule. I am just praying we don't drop the final four banner when we play a crappy D2 team since that is what it's looking like we are going to get for our home opener this year.Originally posted by BleacherReportFred VanVleet on Shockers' 3-Pt Shooting Confidence -- ' Honestly, I just tell these guys to let their nuts hang.'

The Dallas thing was originally a Big12 vs. Major Programs format. The Big 12 teams were supposed to be from/near the North Texas area. I recall reading
about it on the Texas Tech board a month or so before the Big12 teams were selected. They were of course, hoping to be included as one of the four.
Texas was paired with LSU, Baylor with Colorado, TCU with SMU and Oklahome with Alabama(?). For some reason Texas just dropped out and WSU was a
last minute emergency replacement. Apparently LSU made other plans, or they refused to play WSU. A shame.

I hope we talk this up, that people didn't want to play us. I remember a couple years ago, Boise's AD had an interview stating that they put out the offer to all Top 25 teams in football that they would come to their house and play, no home and home, just simply we come to you and play. They didn't get a single response from any of them. Our non-con is solid this year, but it's irritating when at the end of a season the people who decide seeds and selections say a schedule isn't strong enough, but don't consider that no one will sack up and play that team.

More than ever, he owes WSU big time now. If we get hosed again in St. Louis, he should probably have security escort him about.
