But barring death, there's no way I'm staying away from a home game right now. So I'll be dog tired when I get to work at 8am on Tuesday. If I'm lucky, REALLY lucky, I've maybe got 400 more chances to watch WSU home games in my life. I'm not passing one up because I'll be tired. My wife will stay home with our daughter, or she'll stay at a friend's house...something...anything....I'm not missing a home game, I don't care what time it is or what day it is. Maybe if this were 1994 instead I might be reluctant to stay up until 3am. But coming off a Final Four and being ranked? I think not.
    Totally agreed.

I understand people want their 8 hours of sleep and want to be good, productive workers of society. How many of us have had a 4 hour sleep cycle in our lifetime? I'm guessing quite a few. Yeah, it sucks. The day drags on about 10 times longer. Your eyes are heavy. You eventually make it and can crash on the couch when you get home and within 24 hours, you're caught back up.

Again, if you really wanted to, take a lil snooze around 8:00 Monday evening.

This is a pretty big deal and a pretty big showcase for WSU. As Brennan, the ESPN writer stated, this game is all about Wichita State and was included specifically to showcase us and Koch Arena. He even implies how potentially crazy a midnight atmosphere would be. I think it's awesome that we get to step out of the normal cycle for ONE game.

If you can't make the game or want your full doctor-recommended 8 hours, then please, by all means find somebody else to use your tickets. I guarantee you there's enough people in this town and area that are willing to stay up until the dirty midnight hour to watch Shocker basketball live and in the flesh, especially coming off a Final Four and like Doc said, will be ranked.
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

I've already seen a few suspects in this thread that don't seem too thrilled.

          • Does Ok. St. Have their schedule filled? They wanted a neutral game.

Yeah, they already have a home game scheduled on November 8th against Mississippi Valley State. I know that originally Texas and LSU were supposed to play as the 4th game, but Texas backed out. There was also some talks about Texas A&M so maybe we can get one of those two and just basically play the entire SEC in our non-con.

              • Neither Texas A&M or LSU have announced their schedules yet so they may still be possibilities.

Please notice the is a period at the end of my first sentence. I'm not questioning why they won't unveil, I'm saying there's no way they'll unveil.

I like where your mind's at. 4 hours of sleep on one day isn't going to kill you. Taking one for the team.

Unless you're driving an hour or more back home and fall asleep at the wheel. Then those odds go up significantly. Just sayin'.

                        • What about someone like New Mexico or Arkansas?

I don't know their schedules. Just throwing it out there since they're in the south/southwest.

Well I'm sorry to question you, Mr. Sexton.

5 Hour energy drinks work wonders. Several of us make the drive down to Tulsa for road games and come back the same day/night. For the NCAA tournament a couple of us car pooled to Salt Lake. After the Gonzaga game ended I drove from 9:30 PM till almost 7:00 AM. No excuses! :)

As for this game...I'm assuming the kids will have school and my wife will need to be at work by 6:00 AM. So I might be going solo.

                              • Moose, the good news is that you can put the wife and kids to bed around 9:00 and still come up to LB's with me and drink for a good two hours before the game. I'm so looking forward to this one!!!
