    • i think some of these programs keep bringing in top 25 recruiting classes, but dont really have much of an identity of what style of basketball their coach wants them to play...I mean hell even Callipari has this dribble drive system in place for his players to fit into...I cant believe im saying this, but even Bill Self has a style of play his players fit into, a system or style of play...We are all glad Marshall has a style of ball that is working for us, and has found the players that have bought into his system...GOSHOX

        • I've been there every game we have had at IBA and intend to continue the trend. I MUCH prefer purchasing my own ticket than having them in my season ticket packet. I don't mind paying a bit more for a seat of my own choosing.

That would be a good thing, but it would surprise me.

              • A rematch with Iowa would be a good game, but I doubt they would be interested.

Oklahoma State would be a great series to get started.

Colorado would have a nice story line with Boyle.

Creighton would be a nice addition to the non-con and a guaranteed sell out.

Any of the upper tier Mountain West and AAC teams would be good additions.

Missouri, Saint Louis, Baylor, Iowa State, or Butler would interest me.

Louisville would be the grand scheduling prize IMO.

Oh, and there's no way the Tennessee IBA game won't sell out. Name brand, BCS squad, top 25 team, a chance to pay them back at our home (for all intents and purposes). Casual fans will get excited about this one in ways they couldn't for UAB or USM.

It's mentioned in there that this coming game will be at IBA.

I'm disappointed in the attendance for the IBA games. We really need to get those sold out. I know there's been problems for season ticket holders, but still ... it's huge for this program to show that we can sell out a 15k arena. Whatever the reasons are, having 9500 fans in a 15k arena makes the program look bad. So far attendance has been falling each time we play there.
Terrible calender timing combined with mediocre opponents has made the IBA game a bit of a crapshoot with regards to attendance. Get a decent opponent down there and don't schedule it a handful of days from a major holiday, and I think the place would have no problem filling out.

                  • If you could provide door side parking for everyone I'm sure it would sell out.

You can park at Dumont and shuttle right to the door.

Yeah, 'cause that's totally the situation at Koch.

The new dorm will take up most of the parking. I have seen plans for a parking garage though.

                          • If the walk is the biggest problem, then people in Wichita have a major laziness issue. The parking and walking is worse at so many other college and professional venues.

                            • People will always complain about parking. No matter what event or sport. If someone can't park for free across the street then someone isn't happy. It's society these days. Get a freakn' pair of shoes and walk some.

To be fair, we've got a lot of older fans. My grandmother skips a lot of games when the weather is bad because of fear over ice in the walk to the arena.
