I can't imagine that anyone in the Dallas area thinks of Kansas as part of the same region, dizzle. Just on pure geography, we're two states away, just like Missouri or Colorado. And
I guarantee you that folks in Dallas don't think of themselves as living in the Midwest.

Didn't Elgin discuss an event a lot like this being worked on with WSU playing a Big 12 team? I'd bet this may be what he had in mind. A neutral court game against Oklahoma St would be a solid game for the schedule next season.

The Tennessee game is looking more and more important for us and will bet it will be the lone bright light highlight of our non-con schedule. If you can say this early it's a must win, then I'm okay with that. But they will be a formidable foe bringing back all their starters plus their best player who was injured for the entire season last year, it wouldn't surprise me if they end up being a top 10 team.

@WuDrWu: has hinted at liking the schedule. I will trust him. A couple one game highlight events would be great for WSU. But those come at the expense of home games.

Having lived in DFW and having family from STL and KC I personally believe Wichitans/SC Kansans have a closer connection to north Texas than KC/Missouri. I couldn't quite tell you what it is, maybe cause we are all cities on the plains but when I go up to KC now to visit in laws or STL as a child I remember knowing I was around different people, DFW not as much...same with OKC.

Anyways how could they consider themselves in the MW when they live in Texas and not the United States, ha ha.

Most people who live in Texas think of themselves as living in Texas, State of Texas, which is centrally located in the region of Texas, part of the country of Texas, located on a planet called Texas.

KC is Chicago's little brother.

Wichita is Dallas' little brother.

STL aspires to be an east coast town with a Chicago accent.

This is based on fashion, attitudes, popular entertainment, etc. That's the way I've seen it for a while.

playing BYU and Texas would be good for us, as well as our return game with Davidson, and Tennesee...I think all those games are important...GOSHOX

I'm still going to caution people to not take Texas and BYU to lightly. Texas only played marginally better when Kabongo came back the last 3rd of the season. Their next 6 players, all sophmores and freshmen, will have gained from the additional playing time and experience. Texas also has another quality (top 25 I believe) recruiting class coming in. Same goes for BYU who has quality players coming back along with a top 10-15 recruiting class.

Lots of fail there. Even IF you should ask that question, which you shouldn't, and even IF someone picked it out for his response, which they won't, and even IF it wasn't a recruiting violation, which it is, Marshall STILL wouldn't answer that question.

I have no problem with people talking about this topic, we're fans, it's fine. But do so with half a brain.

Dreadful as in an RPI of about 115? They will be better next year. They probably won't be great, they will be good.
