thats a pretty highly ranked kid to leave?
This poster just makes one scintillating post after another. I just can't wait to read his next post that exudes more knowledge and a profound outlook on Shocker hoops.

I have placed him on my "Don't miss" poster list.
Above all, make the right call.

    • On the Jake White transferring to another MVC school. A player can't transfer in conference without losing the year of eligibility that they sat out. At least that is how I had it explained to me in the past. He will be going to another conference.

          • My friends and I will sorely miss yelling "It ain't right, if it ain't Jake White" during games. Good luck to him on his future endeavors.

            • Jake was turning into one of my favorite players this season. I loved how hard he played. He earned the nickname Jake "Let the Bodies Hit the Floor" White because of the way he rebounds. I hate to see him leave, because I was excited to continue to watch him develop.

              Best of luck, Jake.

              • Best of luck Jake. I think he would fit in great with a team like Iowa State that just guns away. He loves to play outside, but Shockers needed him inside. If he sits out a year and lands in the right offense, he could have a very strong last two years of his college career.

And maybe that's right. Maybe it's just if I had to choose one more to leave/not be here, and I hate that part, It'd be Watson or CJ. Personally, I'm not sure if CJ will ever really figure it out. He's got the athletic tools, but seems so lost out there most of the time. And Watson did next to nothing this year and really fell off the map.

                  • Watson has a guaranteed spot if he qualifies based on signing a LOI, right? His season this year has been a big disappointment.

                    • I kind of sensed Jake might be leaving. I'm hoping it is primarily because he simply wants to go to a situation where he will get much more playing time than he would get with the Shockers. He certainly can be an impact player at many, many D-1 basketball programs and perhaps a star at a D-II program. Whatever direction Jake decides to go I wish him the very best.

He will always not only be a Shocker, but a significant member of the toughest, and most successful Shocker team in the history of Wichita State Unversity. Thanks and kudos to Jake for his tremendous work ethic and hustle in his two years as a Shocker. He no doubt pushed his teammates by example to match his intensity and effort.

I am hoping with all my heart that this is one of those changes that benefit both sides. Go get 'em Jake.

Legally, it's probably most akin to an option contract.
The truth will set you free. But first, it will piss you off.

                        • With Cle here another year and the additions of Watson and Carter, I'm sure the playing time picture came into focus for Jake. That said, had he gone to UNI or Indiana St, Jake would have played 15 minutes per game and averaged somewhere around 8 points and 5 boards, this year. I have no doubt he'll join a program where he will start and be one of the best players on the team after sitting out a year.

                          Good luck, Jake!

He would make a great player for UNI. They play a style that exactly fits him. I hope he doesn't end up there because he's one heck of a basketball player. Unfortunately, for Jake, Marshall had opportunities to recruit some really outstanding players at White's position.
He'd have to be able to make 3's in order to play for UNI.
