What improvements do we need to make?

I heard the scoreboard was maybe gonna be improved soon... like maybe this year? It's beyond outdated.
I think we need to improve on free throw defense. I mean it was so bad this year that it only got us to a Final Four. That's just not good enough.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

While they're upgrading Koch Area, we can always play downtown at Intrust Bank Arena.
If we have another Final Four run next year, there's going to be a lot more people wanting to see us play at Charles Koch Arena. Maybe we'll have to play more games at IBA, but the long term solution is to expand CKA.Last edited by 1979Shocker; April 7, 2013, 06:07 PM.

On the second comment, I'm continuously amazed at how you continue to stay ignorant. You keep harping on that one point, and I don't think you understand it at all. If you take all of our losses, here was the difference in FTAs:
Louisville: 29-24
Creighton: 20-18
Creighton: 16-18
Evansville: 10-16
SIU: 21-13
UNI: 16-5
InSU: 21-19
Evansville: 31-13
Tennessee: 36-20
TOTAL: 200-146
We only lost twice we shot more free-throws than our opponents. Both times required our opponents to shoot exceptionally well from the 3PT line, making at least 52.4% of their 3s for at least 24 points. If you take that total, our opponents had 54 extra free-throws. They outscored us by 55 points. If you take out the Evansville (second time) and Creighton regular season losses, the difference becomes 62 free-throws for 36 points.
If you don't think that was significant, you don't understand basketball. If we had gotten at least as many FTAs as our opponents did in those losses, we could have had 5-6 more victories in the regular season. Making it to the Final Four doesn't change that fact, though it does make it a lot easier to stomach.
And that is what I meant by "free-throw defense." Not somehow magically making opponents shoot worse from the line, but trying to limit their attempts by eliminating unnecessary fouls. Too many times we would play good defense and let our opponents get points on the possession despite missing the shot.

If you could make an improvement on next year, it should be laying off the panic button after a loss during the course of the season. Nobody's going undefeated and it's rare to see a team suffer less than 6 or 7 losses throughout. Unfortunately, you deserve everything you get.Deuces Valley.

Nevermind, you are right. I was the one the melted down like a little girl, posting stuff like:
An we look like garbage. Stupid turnovers and horrible shots at times. Tennessee is not very good. This is pretty disappointing thus far. What sucks is there's still another full week to try and forget about this one until the next game.Any decent team on their home court would have beat us by about 20 with that effort. I guess we are thankful that Tennessee isn't very good but the SEC RPI will make them appear as if they are. While we are absolutely sucking on the offensive end now, we are getting HOMERED on the defensive end.Was that D-Will's man that led to the Manigat layup? At least contest it or hell even foul the motha. Don't be soft and scared. That hurt.HONESTLY, What is Demetric Williams bringing to the table?
SERIOUSLY. SIT.Armstead being selfish. Everybody jacking up quick garbage and were letting an overweight pale oaf beat usNobody knows what ATTACK the zone means. And apparently neither does the coaching staff.
A weak ass zone that Illinois State puts out there shouldn't make an offense look THAT bad. Our senior guards continue to play pass around and chuck up last second prayers. Apparently, this team doesn't want a rematch with sCUm. And apparently, they don't give two shits for what happened last year against this scrum team and fanbase. Had a chance to bury their sorry asses.
Oh wait, that was you. Get off your high horse.

You better suck it up and take it like a man. If you don't, I'm going to unleash a world of bad publicity on you. So please son, step off.
And guess what? Here you are posting again.. after a LOSS. SHOCKING.Deuces Valley.

To take that next step...
add at least 5k more seats to CKA
new scoreboard, the screen is way to small
Lights shutters
And something small but at the final four the other teams had huge team flags when they ran on the courtIf winning isn't everything, why do they keep score? - Vince Lombardi

I agree on the scoreboard and would add a full 360 ribbon board along the top of the columns. I think the ability to have a round 360 degree scoreboard exist now days instead of the square, which would be perfect for a round arena.
