The Final Fours will come again whether in the next few years, 5 years, 10 years, or whatever. So much has to go right for a team to make it that far. Just look at the storied BB schools that didn't get close this year - Kentucky, NC, and whats their name.

What I really want to see is our Shockers having a long, consistent, annual presence in the NCAA tournament, year, after year, after year to include a number of Sweet 16's, Elite 8's, and whatever else comes our way.

Build the program like our great coach has done/is doing, and it will come.

I think the Shox are on the brink of becoming Gonzaga-like. Easily the dominant team in their league. Perennial NCAA tourney entry. Maybe UNI and BU can take turns being the Valley's equivalent of St. Mary's.

Both Gonzaga and Butler have done pretty well playing in leagues where they were the only actul player.

Naaaw, Turgeon is strongly and positively associated with WSU now and will always be proud of our future accomplishments. He did great things for WSU and started a family here.

But there are plenty up northeast that make you sleep with one eye open when WSU is having success.

I really appreciated seeing Turgeon's support for us in the tournament. Helped me put in perspective my negative feelings about MT's couple of slip-ups (mostly Denzel Bowles) and the sense he sometimes gave of looking for greener pastures. As Kung Wu has pointed out many times, those slips really pale in comparison for raising the program from the ashes.

FWIW, Roy Williams was on the Pat O' Brien and Steve Hartman show during the Final Four and was very complimentary of our program... I didn't detect anything negative whatsoever. Sure, he picked Louisville to beat us, but who didn't?

FWIW, Roy Williams was on the Pat O' Brien and Steve Hartman show during the Final Four and was very complimentary of our program... I didn't detect anything negative whatsoever. Sure, he picked Louisville to beat us, but who didn't?

'can't go there with you at all. that whole maurice evans thing sealed the deal. he worked pretty hard at getting wichita state the death penalty in '96.

No and it won't be either. Your beating another dead horse. Self has already stated his reasons and until that mindset changes, it will be a no go. That is still not a negative comment about WSU and, in particular, our recent success.
