I know this is partly just blowing off steam after a tough loss.

But I don't think anyone can say if we will be as good a team next year as this (and I'm talking before the final 4 run). We return a lot and have good recruiting class coming in, but we lose two huge pieces and two other important parts. It's really hard to project imo. Maybe this isn't the time for my post, but I just don't want people to feel we have to match this amazing run for the program to be going in an excellent direction. There are great times ahead, we should have sky high expectations, but we also can't get complacent with success and feel like it is ever going to come without blood, sweat, tears, and some disappointments along the road.

We very likely WILL be better. That doesn't mean we will make the championship, because so many things have to go right. There are reasons people were pointing to next year before this season started and those reasons are still valid.

It's hard not to get excited considering what we lost last year and came back from.

Whatever, dude. I think we are going to be really good, but that Hall and Armstead are going to be hard to replace. I have no idea what bleeding heart has to do with anything.

I said earlier today in another post that College Basketball is not like religion. Fans and "experts" can't and won't believe in something they cannot see. Well tonight - even though we lost, we made believers out of millions of people.

Lutz has written a number of terrific articles about the Shox throughout the NCAA tournament. Give the guy some slack. There were 2 huge inserts in the Eagle today totaling 84 pages. The Eagle used 8 writers to cover the Shox with that coverage today.

The love for this team has been absolutely amazing. Our daughter lives close to the Rolling Hills CC. When she came to our house to watch the game wiht us, she drove right by the CC and noticed that most of the golfers on the course were wearing yellow and black. She also heard that KU players who attended the game in Atlanta today wore Shocker colors, too. And, she also heard that the KC Royals are going to wear some black & yellow on their uniforms for their first home game in KC on Monday. We'll have to verify that one but it sounds pretty good at this point.

Speaking of jump balls have you ever seen a worse toss by an official than was made at the opening tip? Not that it was of any consequence.

Let's not be Ohio State fans and start questioning the refs or whether the fix was in. That call was bad, but it did not cost us the game. We had to hold on with Gonzaga and Ohio State after getting big leads, it was a matter of time where our inability to extend the lead further and allow the opponent to creep back in was going to bite us. Oh well, those guys made shots and did what they had to do. Kudos to them.
