They also said the whistle might have been a little quick given the time and the fact that the refs had loosened up the whistle the last 3 minutes. If you look at the replay, Hancock's hands were barely on the ball at the same time, certainly not long enough to call a tie up.

    • MA didn't disappear. Louisville focused on taking his game away and for most of the game that was OK. But we needed everyone for the win.

        • The double foul pisses me off more than the jump ball at the end because it cost you guys the arrow and it always seems that comes in play at least once in the final couple minutes.

They game planned that and MA didn't really ever fully adjust. But he did have 7 assists against 2 TOs which is outstanding against those guards. Also 2 steals.

Thanks for everything Malcolm. You are a warrior.

Agreed, if anything was controversial it's the double foul. Bad, bad call.

                      • I am convinced no mid major is ever winning a title every time one gets to the final 4 some BS happens and they lose. How many chances does it take ? Butler and you guys clearly had the best chance ever to win a title and not happening.

Never gonna happen. Now starting next year with all the damn movement with teams to the "new Big East" I don't care Butler, Creighton, Xavier will always be mid majors to me...I like the title mid major makes me proud beating the old BCS teams every time it happens.

This loss going to sit with me for a long time just like Ohio State's lost to you guys will just like Butler's to Duke in 2010 still sits with me.

NOT SATISFIED AT ALL but it's over and that sucks.

Whole different dynamic if RB can make 2 throws to tie it.

                          • We proved we are good enough to win it all. Build on it.

                            • We had the nice lead in the 2nd half but suddenly had too many turnovers after avoiding that the 1st half. They had too much bench scoring, they hit the shots in the 2nd half we wanted them to take, and they for sure got the breaks on the close calls in the later part of the 2nd half that could have went either way, to put it mildly. We were soooo very close to pulling this off.

Great Season Shockers. I am very proud of you!!! It has been a great ride and a Season to always remember.
Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.

Ant other game HCGM would be ripping the guys for that bad D. It really was bad D in the 2nd half. But no point tonight. L'ville reached down deep and put it together. I give them huge credit for breaking our D.
