Yeah he would like to improve and it's not likely he'll grow taller, so ball handling, passing and shooting

In college ball, he's guarded 6'8" guys and made them look foolish. That's not going to happen in the NBA. He's kind of Warren Armstrong type, but doesn't have the passing skills Armstrong had. Armstrong never made it to the NBA.

"Armstrong never made it to th NBA" One of the most misleading statements of all time. Only, the bidding war between the ABA and NBA kept Armstrong out. If I remember correctly, Armstrong was also a late round NFL draftee.

Why would someone try to knock down a Shocker legend with a misleading statement like that?

aba rookie of the year, for sure, plus some all-star game mvp's (maybe one). he was a high-level professional basketball player.

You may have missed what I think may be Tekele's most important and endearing trait. He makes BIG plays when his team needs someone to make a BIG play. How many times has the young man nailed a big shot, made steal or a block or grabbed a key rebound at critical points in a game. That is a true sign of a winner. Tekele Cotton BIG TIME player at BIG TIMES.

That's big time. Definitely a Shocker great!

I don't think Tekele will be able to hone his PG skills in any games his senior year. PG play will be taken up mainly by FVV with backup from Henderson. Baker will need to hone his PG skill in case he decides to enter the NBA draft next year, so he'll be third in line. Then there is Holland, who could get some playing time at PG. Cotton would be the fifth in line, if it comes to that.

Seriously, he's the type of guy that would get that extra 2-3 yards by laying out and getting it done. I bet he'd make a killer RB. Or boxer, but I like him to much to see him get punched.
Sad to say but brain damage seems nearly as likely in the NFL these days as in the ring.

Good point. Maybe the US Men's National Soccer Team needs a new goalkeeper?

I picture TKO more as a strong safety. He'd take some poor bastards head off coming across the middle.

I think this is very possible.

Here's a question. If WSU wins the Valley and FVV, Baker and Cotton all have big seasons within their strengths, would Tekele's notoriously solid D be looked at with the same kind of favor... Enough to beat out either one of those guys for the award?

For example, if Baker averages 16 points a game, FVV has an assist/turnover of 4:1 and averages 14 points and Cotton averages 12 points a game with 6 rebounds and schools every star he faces along the way in MVP fashion, would the other guys get the award anyway?

The one thing I want to see from Tekele is his scoring start well instead of him waiting till the middle of the season to start having big games. It seemed like it was in the MVC tourney when he would just be lights out. If he could do that fairly consistently throughout the year, he'd be a candidate for the NBA.

But I really can't ask much more from the guy. He's so fun to watch.
