Playing with house money tonight. Play loose, have fun, and let it ride.

Yeah, for the first time in a long while, I am gonna try to just enjoy the game for what it is. A great opportunity for the nation to really see what we have here.

I dont know if we will win, and I dont know if we will lose. But what I do know is, our boys will lay all out on the court tonight and will give Gonzaga the fight of their lives.

Defense, I don't want to get in their grill, I want to get in their damn dashboard! Watching the Zags play against Southern on Thursday I thought (via the eye test) we can play with these guys! Yes Mr. Olynyk is a versatile player, but he seems obsessed with his hair and headband. EO, CH, every chance you get take a swipe at his headband, this will cause him to become distracted :devilish:. Lots of Zag fans here in SLC, but I think we can win over the Harvard fan(s) to our side, Arizona fans, I'm still working on.

I haven't given a prediction yet. Guess I will give an honest guess and say:

Former player who played for the Jazz - 73
Former player who played for the Jazz - 68

Lol I will let you figure out who is who ;)

It is always music to our ears that Sub is not worried. Me either but I do have that "butterfly in the tummy on gameday" sensation. This game is huge and that is an understatement. The Zags are better than they showed versus Southern. However, we can and will hit shots better tonight than versus Pitt. Now our throws at an 80.5% and shooting twice as many will be a tough act to follow.

The chance that comes along around every 45-50 years will not take so long from here on out. Our Program is heading up where we long to be to stay for a while. Not even Kentucky is Dancing this Season and K-State is already done. Tonight, we understand we are playing one of the very best of the best. However, even when we played UConn the Season they won the National Championship, we had a close call and almost won. We were so very close. Now another gargantuan opportunity has slammed open and we must barge in like we own the place and seize the moment.

Likewise tonight, as goes Hall, Armstead, and Cle, our Shox will follow. Our players will be primed and ready to give their all. If our team executes on an A scale tonight, we win. What a thrill for us all to be in a position at Prime Time that most of the basketball fans in the Milky Way will be watching our very game. If that does not light yourn fire, your wood is soggy. We Are Wichita State. Every dog has their day and the 'Big Dawg' has called us out to play angry under the brighest of spotlights and show the whole world just who we are!!!!! Can u dig that? Grooovy!!!

So true and it will lead to future recruits knowing we are for real and that 'we like to and we will' visit the basketball promised land and will be dancing with the stars.

My key to victory is EO is going to have to utilize his superior strength and quickness to shadow KO all over the court and make him take contested shots all day long while staying out of foul trouble. Also, the Zags do not run, if they turn the game into a half court struggle where they like to run set plays to get shooters open, we are in trouble. We cannot allow them to get wide open looks where I saw Pitt have multiple open three's against us all day. Luckily, they weren't hitting them.

Athletic wise, we have the edge and I think we play a better brand of defense. Everyone knows the Zags struggle with opponents being physical. That's a fine line to walk. Will the refs allow the boys to play, or will they call ticky tack fouls all day? If they do, then that hurts us.

My prediction - if the refs allow the boys to play, EO does a good job of disrupting KO and we shoot a whole lot better from the three (say our season average) we win 77 - 68, (I'm already assuming our defense and rebounding will be status quo in this scenario).

If the game turns into a shooting match and we allow KO to go off, we lose 83 - 69.
Kc this was some good stuff. I have to hand it to you because it was pretty close to that...other than the refs allowing us to play. We just didn't care and played tough anyway.

That was an anomaly, and would love nothing more than for us to prove it to them. Here's to the Shox knocking off the first Dance jitters and come out firing tomorrow.
If their fans were basing our shooting on the Pitt game, this was a huge surprise :)

I'm chalking the 50% from three to karma from the game in Omaha and cu shot so well that game we still have another 50% game coming

You forgot to look at the Pitt thread. I called the win, by 5. 80-75. That was after the 75-55 Pitt prediction.
