from earlier in the thread "they live and die by him (tray woodall)". I'm just saying stopping him isn't the key. Durand Johnson is a freshman who has made a lot of big threes for them in the second half of the year. Talib Zanna led the team in scoring for the first half of the year, and there are many players on Pitt capable of scoring. I just don't want people to think the offense is run through Tray Woodall.

So yes, they are significantly under seeded, but so are we to a certain degree.
I can't assert that for certain, but have heard they do it.

Don't know why but I have a feeling that we are going to speed this game up. We will jump on every opportunity to push the ball and score in transition along with in your jock defense. If we can keep the fouls and turnovers down in this shock and awe offensive we will win. I think Marshall wants Gonzaga more than any bonus he may have written into his contract...maybe if we are lucky we will have Johnny Higgins reffing this game:fat:

Unfortunate matchup for the Shocks. It's nice to get a team where you can exert your will in one of your strength areas. Not so much against Pitt. I've seen several comments of "first one to 60 wins" or the like...
More like first to 45 wins I think. Not to put undue pressure on any one person, but this game screams for 2 players to step forward...Cle must be Cle A game and Ron has to make some shots. If so, I love our chances...if not, we're in deep.
Sure would love to have a shot at the Zags.

My biggest fear is that we have a carbon copy of last year. Brick brick, brick, brick. Get stops keep it close, other team then hits a streak, we get down, then start making a few, but never get enough and cant make up for our lack of offense early.
Armstead, Baker, Hall, Early. Thats our scorers. Every possession we have should be to get these guys a shot. At least 10 shots apiece is crucial.
And they gotta produce. This is the NCAA's. All out. Leave nothing on the court. You dont get to keep your chips if you dont gamble here, so you may as well bet them. If you lose, you lose.
Thats all I ask."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

Mrs Vector and I will depart this evening in the family truckster (complete with simulated wood grain side panels, good thing we're not going through E St Louis):excitement:. This is what it's all about. Let's take this one!!! Shox win 68-66.
