    Is Kentucky dead yet?
There are three rules that I live by: never get less than twelve hours sleep; never play cards with a guy who has the same first name as a city; and never get involved with a woman with a tattoo of a dagger on her body. Now you stick to that, and everything else is cream cheese.

NC State vs. Virginia- 1 PM on ESPN2- we want NCSU to take this one, as a win for UVA will likely move them onto the right side of the bubble

Butler vs. LaSalle- 1:30 PM on I'm guessing NBCSports?- go Butler. LaSalle is right behind WSU in many projections, a win could leapfrog us

Tennessee vs. Alabama- 2 PM on ESPNU- I don't think Tennessee leapfrogs us with a win here despite their h2h advantage on us

Tulsa vs. Memphis- 5:30 PM on CBSSports- this is one of the few remaining bid thief possibilities. Tulsa hosts the Conf USA Tourney, we need Memphis to win this one despite the SOS boost a Tulsa W would provide

Iowa State vs. Kansas- 6:30 PM on ESPNU- Iowa State is a seeding peer for the Shocks and it would be smart to root for KU. I just can't.

Vanderbilt vs. Kentucky- 6:30 PM on ESPN3- huge bubble game. SEC Tourney is in Nashville which helps Vandy, go Commmodores

UMass vs. Temple- 8 PM on NBCSports?- Temple has somehow jumped us in some projections. A loss here sends them tumbling back down.

Mizzou vs. Ole Miss- 8 PM on ESPN3- Ole Miss needs a win to get in. Mizzou is already solidly in and we can't jump them. Go Tigers.

There are others that are somewhat relevant (Iowa vs. Michigan State, etc.) that I was too lazy to include, but this at least hits the high points.
This post is 8 for 8, with Mizzou beating Ole miss in the only remaining game 51-41 at the under 12.

        That is...awesome.

So how far is Lunatic gonna drop us on the S-Curve?

          ... No really, deuces.

Likely Next 4 Out because of the midwestern warm front.

              I may have DOFO'd it.

Mizzou-Ole Miss tied at 59 w/1 minute to go.

Some games we care about today:

Memphis vs. Southern Miss- 10:30 AM on CBS- We need Memphis to win this one even though we beat USM. Go Tigers.

Florida vs. Alabama- 12 PM on ABC- We absolutely want Florida to win the SEC. Otherwise a team (or two) may leapfrog us/steal a bid.

Ole Miss vs. Vandy- 2 PM on ABC- An Ole Miss loss keeps them below us, while a win may jump them over us in a few brackets. Either way, we need UF to beat the winner tomorrow.

North Carolina vs. Maryland- 2 PM on ESPN- Let's get it over with and finish Turg and the Terps this afternoon. No need letting them steal a bid.

VCU vs. UMass- 3 PM on CBSSports- UMass can steal a bid if they win the A-10 (a win over VCU pushes them into the Last 4 In, which does not affect us as long as they lose tomorrow). Additionally, we want VCU to take this tournament and make that November road W look as good as possible.

I disagree about southern miss. We beat them head to head and Memphis is right around that 8/9 slot. If Southern Miss wins they won't jump us and Memphis might drop below us. I don't think we need to worry about bid stealers at this point. All the bubble teams that have lost will just get pushed out of the dance, but our seed line won't change, as they will just take up the space on the 12/13 seed line.
You miss 100% of the shots you don't take....

.....but, statistically speaking, you miss 99% of the shots you do take.

We ain't catching Memphis on seeding. A Southern Miss win steals a bid and hurts us.

It would be different if the loss would actually drop Memphis below us. They are a 6 with a win and an 8/9 at worst with a loss. Not worth it for the 5% chance that we somehow jump them.

I just checked the bracket matrix. Memphis is mostly being projected as a 7/8. While we are mostly sitting at 9/10/11. But with a loss I could see Memphis dropping a line, and there have been some (albeit few) projections that have us as an 8. Also remember that most of Memphis winning streak came in the weak C-USA while struggling in the non-con. We did much better in the non con than they did. We could potentially pass Memphis based on this in the only bracket that matters. We shouldn't care about Southern Miss. They will just bump Tennessee, Alabama, LaSalle or someone similar out of the tourney. They won't pass us. Particularly since they lost to us.

We really have no reason to worry. We're NOT on the bubble.

Missouri and San Diego State losing was also good for us as they might slide a bit closer to us on the S-curve. There is a small chance that Ole Miss passes us, but that will only happen if they win the whole tournament, IMO.

My concern all week has been staying out of the play-in games. I think we're finally close to being out of the woods there, but would prefer to leave nothing to chance.

On an unrelated note, I have a hectic schedule coming up and won't be able to post for a while. You guys keep the faith around here and shoot me an email when we get that MWC invite.

There's just nothing to worry about....we beat this USM squad down 4.5 players, not on our home court, albeit Intrust.

We're in, and we're very, very dangerous.
