Right now we're a play-in game team. Making it to the MVC tourny finals is a must. We blow it in the first few games, we're looking at another NIT bid I fear. We have nobody to blame but ourselves so we need to come to STL with domination on our minds. Might as just win the MVC tourny, right? No reason to sweat an at-large when we can just get locked in.

After a first round exit in the tournament, Wichita State would have:

2) their guards played well
3) they whooped us but who wouldn't they have whooped today?
4) EO/NW have to play some D, rebound and get an assist once in awhile
5) have not seen stats but i think our worst shooter took the most shots
6) on prediction thread i predicted a loss but a tournament victory over them.

Fwiw, I never look forward to the drive to STL. How I look forward to this drive will depend on tonight action and who wsu likely opponent is in their first game. Nightmare scenario is ISUR

I'm going to be an optimist and hope that coach figures out to ground Mr. DW as soon as he starts jacking up his patented 3 pointers. If he can do that, then I think we can make the finals and I'm willing to bet that Doogie won't have another game like this one.

Major disappointment today, but even with a sub-par defensive effort are there even five teams in the NCAA that could have beat CU today? I doubt it. It took one of our best overall offensive games to stay with a dozen. If SoW doesn't have a career game, we win today. He's good, but not THAT good. It just wasn't going to happen.

I will predict CU doesn't come close to playing this well the rest of the season. What happened today basically solidified two NCAA bids (yes, I think we're in because I can't see us losing our first game in the Lou).

i could see them losing their first game in st louis.. if it's vs drake. if they win that first game, i think ilsu would be next. wichita state barely looks ncca tourney worthy to me right now. top-25? no way, without a doubt. i think they need to win two in st lou, and get to the mvc title game. otherwise..

Ahhh..It's not that bad of a drive. Lots to look at driving through Indiana & Illinois. ;-)
