We are not cutting down the nets even if we win. Marshall has already said as much.

I feel pretty good about this one. I think it'll be really close and I won't give a prediction but I do not think we'll get blown out even after we looked atrocious against the Purple Pimp Daddies. The lower scoring it is the most it favors us in my opinion. I know we can score but I just feel that if we hold CU to 60 points, we'll win.

That said, CU is really geared up for this one and I think they have all the momentum in the world. That doesn't mean that they'll win but pure emotion could carry them through this game and see us on the losing end when the game is over. I really hope that our forwards can contain McDermitt and put the clamps down on the permiter.

Go Shox! Beat the snot out of those crusaders from the north.

Creighton opens at -5 in Vegas, followed by a quick move to -5.5.

I was in Springfield two years ago when the shockers lost for the title against the bears. I will be at the clink tomorrow and don't want to see my shockers lose again. Go Black go yellow go Shockers.

And WSU was -12 for E'Ville, so maybe this is a good omen? I said, under emotional duress, in the E'Ville thread, that I thought the Shox would win 1 out of their next 3; I don't see us losing the first game in St. Louis, but I hate to think about them losing in Omaha. My rah-rah says Shox win by a couple, but the other side of the brain picks the Jays.

I can't remember wanting to win a regular season game this badly.

If you're talking about the www.goshockers.com page, I beg to differ.

                    I think it's awesome!

This we do know. Our beloved Shocks will give it all they have and leave it all on the floor. If our execution matches our efforts, we will win this big game. We long for our D., that is better than the bluejays, to lead us to victory. Even so, we also have to hit shots and we will indeed out-rebound them. These are the reasons I picked us to win 71-67. Even if we just win by 1 point, I feel another Abraham Lincoln speech evolving, deep from my ole bones, right here on SN.

Creighton wins, there is just too much on the line for them to lose.

But can you not say the same for the shockers? I'd say winning a valley championship in front of a full house and on espn 2 means something to coach and the players. Especially with these rumors that they may be packing up. I'm sure there won't be any lack of focus tomorrow.

Work has me in Austin, TX. I'll be in the field when the game starts and ends. I personally feel we're going to get boat-raced by 15, but I can't imagine the wonderful feeling it would be to come back to my hotel, pulling out the ole laptop and reading enthusiastic threads about a Shox Championship. One can only hope and dream this comes true. The only hope I do have is that I won't be jinxing the Shox by listening or watching the game.

I think that the Shocks have a good shot at winning this one. The Jays have a tough time matching up with our athleticism. If we execute our game plan, the Shocks win in a close game.

It would be a shock to see anybody getting boat-raced. Of course we did that to them last Seaon at their barn but look for this game to be a "knock-down-drag-out-barn-yard-battle- to the very end. If either team wins by more than 4-6, it will be due to extra fouling at the end IMO.

KC--you watch and you cheer loudly for us because jinxing won't be on the table. Who will play the best D, hit big shots, stay out of foul trouble, rebound, get and make foul shots, get lose balls, make less turnovers, and maybe even get a few breaks along the way? THis game is huge for both teams and is for all the marbles and even ESPN2 will put us on the tube. What a script. What a game this will be. no matter what happens, if Creighton bails out of the Valley, they will not be digging on ever playing us again? Who cares. Let's just win this epic game.
