The meniscus keeps bone from rubbing on bone. The ACL and MCL hold the knee together and, honestly, there isn't a lot of pain with that part of the injury. The rehab isn't any fun but it has more to do with the surgery, imho, than the actual injury. The meniscus has to be repaired not replaced and that part hurts like hell and will only get worse over time. The scar tissue left behind just gets worse over time.
You replace one (or more) of the ligaments with a donor ligament and with rehab you are very likely to be as good as new over time, maybe even stronger. That just isn't so with meniscus damage....and it will hurt like hell.

Inner Tibial Surface Cartilage Damage. The tibia and femur bones rub together causing cartilage to be destroyed and osteoarthritis (OA). I was diagnosed 12 years ago by an elite orthopaedic surgeon.
Lortab is candy. After my ACL surgery 15 years ago, I was on Demerol for 2 1/2 months.Egotism is the anesthetic of stupidity.

I talked to Mantas, and he said for this certain type of injury it take only 6 months to heal. So look for him next year.

If you want to form an opinion of Creighton fans, read this thread http://thebluejaycafe.com/BB/viewtopic.php?t=9822.Some posts are not visible to me. :peaceful:
Don't worry too much about it. Just do all you can do and let the rough end drag.

Ever wonder why other schools feel the need to constantly bash everything WSU?
Pure jealousy. They are jealous of our fan base. They wish they had that kind of support. They can talk about their "rivals" but the fans, with very few exceptions, want to beat WSU more than any other team. Of course a bunch of arrogant bj fans are going to take a story about one of our guys going out for the year and turn it into a fan bashing thread. That's the class they exhibit day in and day out.
I hardly needed a CU thread to validate what I already know about the Notre Dame wannabes from Bugaha.
Don't sweat it folks. Judgement day is coming.
