Cold, there were issues before we started losing. The effort hasn't been there. Guys aren't attacking like they were. We're losing more loose balls. Not moving the ball on offense as well as we were. D hasn't been as strong. BBIQ seems to have diminished.

i like early when he plays with energy. when he starts standing around on
the perimeter and not working to free up he becomes a liability. again, the
idea was to send a message to him and everyone else to stop standing
around and start working to get open and hit the boards. watch white, he
is moving, screening and hitting the boards harder than anyone.

It's called learning to play with success. They are spoiled. They didn't suddenly grow retarded over the last week, they didn't suddenly lose their skill. They just lost a little hunger. It's very hard to stay motivated against the INSU's, NIU's, and SIU-C's of the world. They fell prey to the exact same traps that BCS schools do when they play a hungry mid-major. They began thinking they were better than everybody and started to mail it in. I'm sure you know that effort can bridge the talent/size gap in many instances. KU has shown us that many times in the NCAA Tournament. Each Valley school we have lost to has played their absolute heart out. We on the other hand have given it 90%. The good news is we only lost by a couple in most of those games.

I predict you are going to see the Shocker team of old very soon. Hopefully against SwoMo.

And I'm still not ruling out unpublicized injuries as also being a contributing factor in what is perceived as a lack of "effort". As hard as we've played all year, it's going to take a toll. We are a VERY physical team.

Sorry this is so late.

The main item that concerns me is 'possessions per game'. This allows inferior teams to hang with us when we are ranked 261st. We need to push the tempo to allow our athleticism take over.

Winning cures all. They have 2 home game in a row to figure it out. Whether it's chemistry problems or on the court problems they need to suck it up and get it figured out.

I do not have a feel for how this game will turn out. But if they lose this game, that would mean this team has officially checked out for the season.

I can handle losing, but the way this team is playing right now is beyond rediculous.

Get it together Shocks! Play hard, play loose and have fun!!!
