So let me get this straight; when Mal has a bad game, it cancels out the dozen or so games he helped us win? The truly bad games Mal has had this year could be counted on one hand.

Originally posted by ShockerFever View PostYou conveniently just pointed out the positives and left out all the negatives. You could do that with anybody and make them look like a god.
And for the record - steals erase turnovers.. at least in my mind. Many games this year Mal has had 4 steals in a game. For example, in the Indy St game Mal had 3 to's but 2 steals. To me that gives him 1 net turnover for the game. I would assume coach thinks the same way as well.

No, he had by my count 11 very good games. He had the kind of games that led us to a win. The rest are average games - several of those during blowout wins where he didn't play much in the second half.
Cancelled out? Wtf...

You only notice the bad decisions at the end of the game because they are at the end of the game. Baskets made at the end of the game score no differently than baskets made at the beginning of the game. Several of these games lately should never have come down to a basket at the end of the game. The reason we have lost these last 3 games is on the team equally.
I didn't conveniently leave anything out. I pasted the games where he played like a star and greatly contributed to us winning. There were another half dozen or so where he didn't have as spectacular of a line because the games were blowouts. I don't remember one line of his that was glaringly bad statistically. The SIU game where everybody decided to go off on him; he had 6pts, 6asts, 3rbds, and 4 to's in 33mins. He shot 50% from 3 (2-4), and 0% from inside the arc (0-6). Not very pretty, but a long way from a disaster.

Now you just sound like a buffoon. We would be nowhere this year without Malcolm Armstead. You owe him an apology and you probably should sit the next couple of plays out...

You can think MA is a stud all you want, but studs don't close games out the way he does. Fact of the matter, a senior point guard who pisses down their legs at nearly every opportunity, especially lately, is not a stud. Sorry. Mediocre at best.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

Maybe Fred is akin to a subway cookie and Malcom is akin to a goodcent's cookie. .

Since MoState Cotton hasn't had a defender within three steps and Williams hasn't attracted much attention either.

I don't get the vitriol being directed at one player for the play over the last three games. NOBODY brought their A-game against SIU. Wiggins gave up more than he scored. White was a turnstile on defense. The bigs only managed 4 offensive rebounds against the 3rd shortest team in the country. Armstead turned it over too much and at critical times at the end of the game. EVERYONE needs to be better on Saturday. Can we please stop directing all the anger at one player?

Armstead has helped us some and have hurt us some, notably in key situations when you want your senior point guard playing their BEST. That affects the ENTIRE team.Deuces Valley.
