FVV should have been arrested for assault for the amount of ankles he broke last night.

Armstead
Last 3 games.
Minutes in last 3 games: 92
Turnovers + Fouls and FG%
IN State: 3+3 = 6 and FG%=18.2
UNI: 4+4 = 8 and FG%=33.3
SIU: 4+3 = 7 and FG%=25.0
A winning team cannot have these kinds of stats from the point guard.
Fred
Last 3 games
Minutes in last 3 games: 43
Turnovers + Fouls and FG%
IN State: 1+0 = 1 and FG% = 60.0
UNI: 0+2 = 2 and FG% = 0.0 (0-1)
SIU: 1+0 = 1 and FG% = 40.0

I did something similar for Wiggins and Cotton when everyone wanted Wiggins to start. The numbers showed the offense was better when Wiggins was on the floor and Marshall started him last game. I don't get the bench Armstead movement but let's see if I'm wrong.
For the season with Armstead on the floor the team scores at a rate of 70.2 points per game. With Van Vleet on the floor it is 64.3. If you want to argue that Van Vleet has gotten better as the year has progressed I'd agree with you. So let's look at conference only play. With Armstead on the floor it is 68.4 ppg and Van Vleet it is 59.9 ppg. Maybe something magically happened to Armstead after the Bradley game and he's terrible now. Last 3 games: Armstead - 57.0, Van Vleet - 54.9. Basically the team is better with Armstead on the floor and the team as a whole has been scoring worse over the past three games. Swapping out Armstead for Van Vleet is not going to solve this.

I know I've been calling for more FVV and less MA for some time now. Back then I wasn't calling for FVV to start, but to play 18+ minutes a game and MA to play fewer than he had been. Maybe MA would be better at the end of games if he weren't playing so much? I don't know the answer to that, but I do know that FVV has improved quite a bit from the beginning of the season and I honestly feel more comfortable when he's in the game than I do DWill or MA as I know FVV is going to look to find others. And when FVV penetrates, I'm pretty confident he's not going to throw up crap because he hates passing to anyone bigger than he is.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

My main problem with this thread is that Fred has had a few good stretches and everyone wants him to start. Now if someone wanted to give Armstead normal minutes until the end of the game and bring in Van Vleet like a baseball closer for the end, I'd be all for that.I smell Bluejay puntang and the only good Bluejay puntang is dead Bluejay puntang
