Just watched the game again. The defense we played the last 5 minutes was absolutely AMAZING. The only field goal, if I'm not mistaken, was the possession they played 5 on 4 because Early was in backcourt. Among the best stretches of defense I've ever seen us play.

Show your Wichita State Shocker pride AND your cleavage AND in the same pic. Let's show KU that WE have the best breasts in the Mid-West.
Don't get me wrong, I like your idea, but maybe you should keep it all to one thread.

a. A play shall be completed when a team withholds the ball from play by
ceasing to attempt to score or advance the ball to a scoring position.
But on to Article 7, specifically section A. How I have always heard this rule was that they won't whistle a stop on a fast break. That seems fair enough. But once the other team stops trying to advance the ball and gets into their offense (which sCUm did) that is when the play should be stopped. And it really bothers me that it wasn't.

Ok, obviously the play was moving away from Cle so they didn't need to stop it right away. Personally that rule needs to be amended so that staff is allowed on the other half of the court to tend to the injured player. Imagine something like a bone break. There is no reason to let a player lay on the court an extra 20 seconds on display like that.

When you take into consideration that he plays alongside a man who goes by the name of SloMo Gibbs (a name given to him not because of the way he deliberately plods around the court, but because he is such a genius that the world around him takes place in slow motion), as well as the reincarnation of Larry Bird, Cy needs all the support he can get.
Side note: some have reported SloMo Gibbs to have the brain of five men.

Did I mention that what this team and this coaching staff is pulling off is nothing short of amazing? I hope everyone else is enjoying the ride as much as I am. Don't forget to pay for your share of the gas.

Our coach is getting a lot of mention for NCOY. Our team is getting a lot of mention as an E8 or better team. That's after losing 4 starters and 5 of the top 6 points and boards from last year. And going through a stretch with 3 starters out with injuries where the Shox only lost 1 game.
I think Marshall is going to get more NCOY votes for recruiting to replace 80% of his team's production than McDermott is going to get for recruiting his son.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Jenn made some solid points on Sports Sunday. WAY too many 3's shot and it seems like everybody outside of Carl just wants to pop em instead of feeding the ball down low to a place we have a big advantage in. 4 of 23 was pretty bad. It's one thing to attempt that many 3's if we're a good 3-point shooting team. We're not. Simple as that.Deuces Valley.

WSU also got a break on the flagrant foul called against Gibbs -- after seeing that replayed many times, I can't believe the refs said he threw the elbow violently. Not that I'm complaining; it's about time the Shocks got a close call, and as it turned out they didn't capitalize on the possession anyway. But I think the ESPN guys were absolutely right in doubting the flagrant-1 call.

Speaking of Sports Sunday, Ms Bates (any relation to Norman?) was really hatin' on GS, dang women chill out. Also they showed footage of the game where Cle was driving for a layup and GE took a swipe and missed. Carl rebounded and put it in. During the play you see Echinacea literally shove the crap (shoulder level) out of his teamate Mr Gibbs trying to get back to the play. Nice guy, Hugo Chavez would be proud of you comrade (if he were coherent).
