I am not advocating the tech fouls or forgiving MA. please re-read my first post last night. I am highlighting two key issues:

      1) He is the most important player over the next six weeks. He was one the most important players for nine of our wins.

      2) This board is all for moral tolerance in other situations. I have to go less than 48 hours back to find a majority of our board excusing public behavior that is less than stellar. His behavior is much better when compared with the prior situation, but it seems worse because of the personal foul and two free throws.

OMG! Mal is shaking in his boots now with Kung-Squinty Eyes-Wu on his case. Of course, Mal's reaction could actually be to the guy looking over Kung Wu's shoulder. Who is that? Oh yeah, that's Coach Marshall.

          No.

LM doesn't bother me, but it doesn't surprise me that the Barry's of the world are offended. From time to time I am a loud mouth sailor, but I know it isn't appropriate to act that way in many public situations...

I generally enjoy the show that LM provides and think it serves to our goals for keeping HCGM:)

It's one thing to have an edge. It's another to start giving opponents free points in 2 of the last 3 games for nothing more than being stupid. If you can't see that, then you have it in for MA somehow.

I like him when he's cool, collected, under control, and quarterbacks the team. While Fred may be slow and not ready for the starting position, MA sure isn't helping matters with his arrant turnovers, questionable shot selection, and multiple bouts of technical fouls.

And I'd take Joe Ragland over MA ANY day of the week.
            Two thumbs up.

Mal has two types of 3 ball attempts - decent form and ugly form. It is somewhat amazing that the two kinds of shots are so different in release and arch.

Sometimes he throws up one of his ugly shots, when it is early in the clock. It drives me nuts. As one wag has said, it is just another turnover.

Armstead's mouth didn't cost the game at Tennessee. Basically the bad game by Early and not having Wessel and EO not at 100% cost us the game.

early needs to find some consistency in his game.

While he may not be the best 3 point shooter on the team, I don't think he has a bad stroke.

It wasn't the only factor in that game but one of several mistakes that lead to a Tennessee victory. Thats why I said may have been 12-0 and not would have been 12-0, two different things. That foul gave Tenn two free points. The score was tied 59-59 with 3 minutes left. Also I believe that was his second foul with a good 8 minutes to go in first half. Not sure but believe he sat for most of the first half after that foul. It all adds up and his technical was a part of the loss. They lost by 9 to Tenn but that is just the result of having to foul at the very end. Much like WSU winning by 8 last night, we all know it was much closer and frankly Mal's tech in that game could have cost the team as well.

Like I said before no way WSU is 11-1 without him but may have been 12-0 without his mouth.

Armstead's +/- per 40 has exceeded Fred's +/- in six games. The other six, Fred's has exceeded Mal's. For the season, Mal's is better 14.9 to 7.5.

Armstead's Prouty is .408 to Fred's .320. By and large, the Prouty favors a "hot" shooter and Mal has had his moments, while Fred rarely shoots, so is not likely to achieve a good Prouty.

All I know is I’d take Mal’s 2 PG predecessors 7 days a week and twice on Sunday over him…and that’s not necessarily a knock on him but more a compliment to how good those other guys were.

I think I agree with that. Plus for all I know, mal might come out on the good end of all this stuff and start doing great.

Mal might be the thing that gets us through all this adversity. That is, after he gets done with his laps, push-ups, stairs, and mouth washing with soap.

Problem with that argument is MA is not a jr

No, but we got two years of Ragland. Ragland saw plenty of court time as a junior, meaning we lived with him for a year. Our PG in 2012-13 is better than our PG in 2010-11. If anyone recalls, Hannah was NOT a good defender and Ragland wasn't even mediocre until second semester of his senior year. Very few teams have PGs that shoot 40% from 3. We've had that for three of the past four years.
