1. You NEVER had an invite or close to an invite to CUSA.

2. MSU doesn't have FBS football nor do they have the resources for FBS football. MSU runs on a shoestring budget in FCS football.

Oh Yeah! You and Tulsa. Just keep throwing money down that football rat hole. Keep grabbing at that BCS golden ring. TU left the MVC for CUSA, and look at them now. Terrible attendance and losing MILLIONS a year on football in a conference that is easily the worst FBS conference. Terrible attendance and playing basketball in a conference that is consistently worse than the MVC. Football took TU to a conference that is now falling apart. And thanks to the mess their athletic department is in, they may very well have nowhere to go. In fact, as I said before; if TU left CUSA and came back to the MVC, they'd be taking a step-up. That's what football, at your level, does for you. So go ahead. Exercise your options.

You state some things that are flat out inaccurate. Conference USA WAS a pretty good FBS league. The WAC, Sun Belt, and MAC were clearly worse. It remains to be seen what will happen now with the exodus but calling it the worst is absurd.

I'd take being in Tulsa's situation. Football is king in college athletics. Tulsa just won Conference USA. Lots more people care about that nationally then winning the Valley in basketball. I'd trade for their Athletic Department in a heartbeat assuming we could keep baseball which they don't have. They made one bad coaching hire in Wojcik that doomed them. Yes the CUSA is pretty bad in basketball but they are the kings in football and might get an invite to the new Big East because of it in fact. Not bad.

Look at the numbers and CUSA is the WORST FBS football conference this season. I believe there's a rating system out there that even has it behind a couple of FCS conferences. And getting an invite to the new BE isn't necessarily a good thing. The C7 are leaving for a reason and as soon as UConn leaves, and probably Cincy, it's basically CUSA.
