WSU is not going back to the Valley. Book it.
Had enough of Terre Haute, Frostbite Falls and Carbondale, IL. Do not need to play the likes of Mo State, Ill State and others again.

AAC will look pretty good tonight when UNT comes to town.
Good team with athletes and well coached. They have speed, play tough defense and work hard for 40 minutes.
WSU could be in for one good assbeating tonight.

Why do so many of you think Memphis is getting a lifeline to a power conference? They've been passed over time and time again for a number of reasons. Odds are, they're not going anywhere despite them wanting to.

Alignment is pretty much done at this point. The 4 big leagues have maxed out on their teams. Memphis is an "other" for the foreseeable future.

That's gonna be the most fascinating thing to watch or look for tonight... are the "drastic" changes. The game is just secondary at this point.

Their best, and probably last, chance was the PAC when they were scrambling, but I don't think they really wanted to go this far west. I suppose there's a chance that if they add a team or two from Texas down the road, that Memphis could have an outside chance. It's pretty doubtful at this point I think. The PAC isn't near as snobby anymore about the academic standards, but now that they've more or less stabalized things I don't see them taking a Memphis. They're probably hoping they can get a deal that would pull back the schools that joined that ACC at some point, but other than that they may eventually take another stab or two at some MWC schools.

I was gonna go up for the game this year (its about 4.5 hr trip for me), but decided to pass. I'll be at the game at Rice. If you see someone with a paper sack on their head, it might be me.
