  • It would be nice to see McGinnis make an occasional three. Odd his shooting skills disappeared when he came to Wichita.

I said it a long time ago.

Does it matter which one is worse, neither is the correct answer. sigh.

IB, for all his faults, recruited and landed way better players than Mills. Typical example: we replace Colby Rogers with AJ McGinnis. In year two of Mills, two of our 3 best players are IB recruits who could barely sniff playing time for IB.

Brown was not meant to be the answer. He was the placeholder. However, it turns out he did better than the supposed solution (at least, so far). Perhaps he should have been kept on for another year and lowered the salary debt for WSU.

Don't know what the future may bring, but so far, a few of us seem to have been right about the Mills hire. Too short of HC experience and too big a jump in both level of play and salary paid. Still, I hope I was wrong, and things will get much better.

                  • What is really going to frustrate people is when Quincy Ballard gets a shot at the NBA and excels.

He'll make good money playing the game but not in the NBA. He's very much a one dimensional player with glaring weaknesses. He won't be able to dunk his way into the NBA and his defensive strengths would be negated. Of course I've been dead wrong on these matters recently...lol

                      • The college basketball light in me has faded. Last nights buzzer beater loss didn’t sting, but to be honest whipping K-State last month didn’t charge me up like it would have just a few years ago. I’m not into sports betting, so I only watch games that interest me due to a specific team or player. I guess that is why I’m listening to more music, watching more movies and shows, and reading more books lately.

Sounds like a much more enlightened lifestyle. And perhaps, in the long run, more enjoyable.

Washington is a love letter from Gregg Marshall IMO. Cherish it!

Yup. He very well could be my Lunker. He's shows great hands around the rim. That's something EO was SORELY missing.

That's the most coveted single dimension in the entire NBA though.
